Come Check out the US Debut of Sasch Dive at the Grand Opening of The Electric Cabaret @ The Muse!
![]() SASCHA DIVE US Debut (Kompakt / Drumpoet Community / Deep Vibes - Frankfurt) MEASAX+DOCINDO (88 / Stirsound - DC) The Electric Cabaret is EVERY THURSDAY @ MUSE 717 6th St NW DC | 202.842.9800 18+ to Enter $10 General Admission FREE ADMISSION Before Midnight for 21+ w/ Facebook RSVP OPEN BAR FROM 10-11PM SASCHA DIVE BIO: Sascha Dive has been one of the hottest newcomers in on the house music circuit in 2007. The Frankfurt based producer is following up his hyped EPs on Raum Musik and his own Deep Vibes imprint with a superb debut EP for Drumpoet, delivering the percussive track "Annihilating Rhythm" exploring the low end of the frequency spectrum and "DEep" remixed by Samuel Davis. Welcome along to the latest release of Zurich based label Drumpoet Community. Sascha Dive is an upcoming young producer from Frankfurt, Germany. He released already various 12"es on labels like Raum Musik, Alphabet City and his own Deep Groove Records and gained much attention by well known DJs. With DEep he created a huge dancefloor tune which shines in the mix of the mysterious Samuel Davis from Detroit. DEep created a big buzz among DJs like Efdemin, Prosumer, Serafin and many others. The "Annihilating Rhythm" is also a great tool which works extremely well to build an afrocentric moment in a club. It is the sound of the moment, minimal at it's best because it approaches the basic groove of house music and it's really swinging, not like the usual non-sense hopping music which is featured by lots of the big DJs in Techno. We can definitely say that the future looks bright for Sascha Dive. His music has a slightly minimal approach but never forgets the Funk and is taking the whole movement to new levels. Sascha Dive is serious... I mean not mean young producers get remixed by MOODYMAN so early in their careers. one of Resident Advisers top tunes... and a vinyl only release... Check out his Label on beatport Deep Vibes... you won't be disappointed! Ra podcast #109 and above is his Ibiza voice podcast... First time in the USA.

This week on the pod Sascha Dive provides some deep vibes. If you want to talk about truth in advertising, look no further than Sascha Dive’s label Deep Vibes. Dive began the imprint in 2006 and has been releasing the deepest house he can find (or produce) ever since. Clearly, young Sascha has his finger on the pulse: along with Oslo and Cecille, Deep Vibes has quickly become one of the main engines of reviving deep house in Germany’s club scene. Production-wise, Dive is nothing if not straightforward: track titles veer towards the descriptive: ‘Deep in Rhythm’, ‘DEep’, ‘Deepest America’ and the music is similarly functional. On his RA podcast, you’ll get much the same: Dive works his way through a 72-minute set that doesn’t so much have peaks and valleys as it simply floats along with cut after cut of dark and, yes, deep vibes—whether he is spinning Dan Bell's old-school minimalism, Manny Diaz's svelte and sexy 'Sleezy, Please Me' or Moodymann's funky epics. Be prepared to get hypnotized. How did you get into electronic music? I got my first contact with electronic music in the early ‘90s. My brothers gave some tapes with the hottest shit from the UK, like DJ Duke, Culture Beat, etc. Really multifaceted music. After that, I decided to go to some clubs around Frankfurt like the Robert Johnson, Monza (old Monza). Another big influence was the Freebase record store. When and why did you start Deep Vibes? I started Deep Vibes in 2006. The idea for the label was to bring out some really deep and dark US house inspired tracks. What have you been working on recently? I’m working now on the new Deep Vibes Recordings release, the Basic Collective EP Part 3. I hope it will be finished before summer. I also just finished remixes for The Asphalt, Two Amadillos & the 1.000.000 Remix for Goldwill. Where / how was the mix recorded? The mix was recorded at my label office. I used two Technics SL-1200MK2’s, a CD player from Technics (SL-DZ1200) and my Allen & Heath Xone 62.
