not true... I mean maybe in the context of drum and bass and dance music. I guess I shouldn't have used the word "MC". I meant someone who can sing/rap intermittently, and not in a way that won't make "everybody" hate them.

What kind of time comitment are you looking for from people?

I'd be into this, and although my tablist skills are a little rusty at the moment I have figured some things out. I just don't know that I could practice 3 times a week or whatever, and I wouldn't want to sign up and be the guy that's never there and holding everyone back.

the great thing about four people is... if one person can't make it, you still have three people.

I'm looking to first have bi-weekly sessions just to see how we all fit. none of us are pro turntablists and i don't expect any DMC-caliber stuff (yet!).

the concept is we get together every other week or so and just fuck around for 2-3 hours... experimenting with different sounds and genres.

the main thing actually holding me back right now is space, because I only have a studio apartment. I am working on another option for space. once this is hammered out I'll probably just say "yo anyone who wants to jam show up" and we'll hang out and drink beers or something.

not looking for any long term commitment right now but if something clicks, my long term thought is we'd have to practice once a week and then take over the world.

Well, email me when you get a space and have the first jam session:

Sundays are really good for me, Saturdays are sketchy until December.

I imagine you'd be looking for more of an improv vocalist than an "MC", right? That could be pretty cool. Esp. if we had serato where you can sample and scratch mic input stuff ^_^ Man that would be killer.
