That is the stupidest publicity stunt i have ever seen.
Commercial branding pisses me off.

What's the big deal?
If you can mix on a laptop with auto bpm'ing software, I don't see where the problem is.
Boom shaka laka, here come the Chief Rocka | Tuff Breaks Crew | Five Cent Jive Cartel | http://www.thelogictheorist.com | Eight Track, Nine Milli, Tien Shan - a hip hop mix | Knee Deep - a deep house mix

they are using EDM/DJ culture to sell their cell phone. I had the same reaction to the SCION people hanging out at nation and offering free oakenfold tickets to people who test drive their cars. I just have a problem with commercial branding in general. I prefer not to be a walking bilboard my self. Try to wear clothes that don't have overt advertising on them unless it cant be avoided.Originally Posted by The Logic Theorist
It bothers me because i want our scene to be about the music and not about selling the next product whether it be a car or a new cellphone. That is what is wrong with most music scenes is it is over commercialized.
Somebody djing on a laptop inst trying to sell that laptop. But if you watch that video again it is clearly a commercial for that phone. I don't have a problem with how the music is performed, i have a problem with the over commercialization of the scene, it wont be ling before it is sponsored by corporations and you cant crap with out wiping your ass on an advertisement.

gee whizz, i wonder why it is that most musicians don't take dj's seriously.oh, right, because some asshole helps further that by making it seem like this is ok. i mean, imagine next time you go out, you see someone play a set on 2 phones. i don't know about you, but that would surely be my last night out. ever. fuck that phone, and fuck that guy for making it seem like thats ok. i think i wanna try and play a set on 2 of those old simon games, now that'd be cool.
