lol. to be honest I don't really use any third-party plugs, only third-party synths.

Now, I'm sure that most of Logic's host plugs don't compare to a lot of the top third-party offerings, but if one does, it's probably that Space Designer. That thing is a beast.

    TC Powercore VSS3

absofuckinglutly. hands down. it's the one.

it's NOT a convolution reverb, so it sounds nice against convolution verbs. yet it's huge in small doses. a beautiful contrast.

Wave Arts master verb that comes with PowerSuite5 is pretty good.

But as Dave said, logic users are pretty spoiled with the included plugs so I dont use many 3rd party.

all convolution verbs sound the same, for the most part. it's the sample files that make a difference, and they can all read eachother's sample files. (sometimes just by changing the extension)

BTW I'll come right out and say it...

    FUCK the Waves reverbs!

This is being said by a paid license holder of the Diamond Bundle AND Waves IR.

If you think Waves is the shit and end all, stop reading and start listening.

ya the Waves reverbs im not a big fan of at all and so ive been lazy and using Cubase SX3's Reverb A and Reverb B (yes Steinberg really racked their brains on those names). I tried Waves' convulsion reverb and holy shit its slow and lags. I need something amazing at this point. The reverbs in Cubase sound great if you want samples with almost infinite tails. If you want a short verb for a synth, the shit makes it sound like a Robot just farted out your synth. It blows.

I'm 100% absolutely serious. I paid for both of those Waves packages. Granted, I got a nice discount as a dealer.
I use the shit out of them, well I used to anyway. I fully believe in supporting the development of awesome software.
I also fully believe in trying it out before buying a non-returnable $4000 product.

I use the TC Powercore and Universal Audio UAD-1 more than any other plugs. Can't have hardware based effects on my laptop though, ya know.
