So you want someone to give you a mix THEY took the time to put together so YOU can play it as an opener at a club?

    who would do that?

Stop being lazy. Go out and find your own tunes.

Their are so many sites that will let you listen before buying vinyl or Mp3. If you are in a jam and need it tonight get on an MP3 site and find what you are looking for and purchase it. How can you be proud of what you do if you are just playing jukebox with the fruits of someone elses labor and intuition?

After watching that documentary, you can't find 80,000 tracks that use the Amen break? Pick a random track filed under D&B. It uses the amen break.

Look for "Amen Brother" by The Winstons. The orginal Amen break.

75% of dnb uses the amen break,

"Straight Outta Compton" by NWA uses the amen break

The theme from "Futurama" uses the amen break.

your question should be "Im looking for a track that DOESNT use the amen break"

There is no way 75% of dnb uses amen. It comes and goes but 75%? Hell no. But yeah Amen is popular is all kinds of joints.

I need more of something! Alright I'm gone now to the hotel bar.

In terms of all dnb tunes released to date, I'd say 75% of them use the amen break in some form or another, be it chopped up, high passed, mutated into a whole new sounding break (like the Tramen break)....all that old moving shadow stuff circa 96 was all amens, ragga is all amens, tech itch, dylan, loxy, ink, b-key, all use amens constantly.

granted, Im kinda pulling that number out of my ass, but its a safe estimate imo

VIP buisness by mark omen uses the amen break, but it's dubstep so it's automatically discounted and laughed at because it's different.

Exactly. Take any friggin audio editing software. Isolate any of the drum sounds from the amen break as individual samples. Assign each of those samples to a different midi trigger.

Then fucking mutate them to death and trigger them in whatever order you want. If you've heard it done enough, you can even pick out what effects were used and which drum/snare/hat sample is being played. Some of my favorites have been to had those samples played in reverse and mixed up proper.

it's amazing how many people use the amen hits sneakily to fill up frequencies because it's so full. i like using the fills a lot. 75% is stretching it though...

differences are usually good. the exception to the rule being dubstep though.

anyway, yeah....the amen break is used a lot....it's not hard to find a tune that uses it.
