DJ DARA [ Planet of the Drums | BreakBeat Science ] - PHI
A member of the infamous Planet of the Drums crew alongside fellow drum ‘n bass pioneers AK1200, Dieselboy, & J Messinian , this Irish transplant has been a dominant figure in the U.S. drum ‘n bass scene since his arrival here in 1994. His discography includes 2 critically acclaimed full length artist albums, 8 DJ mix CDs, as well as numerous singles and remixes for artists such as Freq Nasty, Afrika Bambaata and Keoki. Dara co-founded the nation's first & largest drum ‘n bass record store, Breakbeat Science , in NYC which doubles as his own imprint, Breakbeat Science Recordings. He has been featured in countless magazine articles and interviews both in the US and worldwide. He previously hosted one of the internet's most popular drum ‘n bass broadcasts, Velocity, where he regularly interviewed leading drum ‘n bass artists such as Jonny L, Kemistry & Storm, Trace, Ed Rush, Optical, Hype, Andy C, Zinc, and many others. Dara's long standing relationships with the world's drum ‘n bass elite gives him access to an astounding amount of new and unreleased material. His brilliant recording endeavors along with his incessant touring markey by consistently awe-inspiring DJ sets have made him one of the most recognized and well respected DJs in the country.
COMMIX [ Metalheadz | Hospital ] - UK
Commix is the alias of Cambridge duo Guy Brewer and George Levings, who have been producing music for the past 6 years. Since their first forays onto vinyl on DJ SS' Formation imprint and close ally Nu:Tone's label, they've released tracks for labels including C.I.A, V Recordings, Hospital Records and Horizons Music, becoming popular with a multitude of top DJs including Fabio, DJ Flight, Lee, Marcus Intalex, D-Bridge and DJ Marky. After originally being a trio, Commix became two in 2004, and since that time their sound has taken on an edgier and more wide-ranging style, with their diverse range of musical influences shining through in their music.
In 2005, the mighty Metalheadz picked up on a selection of tracks - one being 'Satellite Song' (which quickly became an anthem with the likes of Goldie and Randall), appearing on the MDZ05 compilation, as well as 'Urban Legend' and 'If I Should Fall', combining to make up a critically acclaimed 12" on Metalheadz. With Goldie then offering the duo an album deal, Commix became the first artist to release an album on what is for many people the most important label in drum&bass to this day. This album is set for release in Spring 2007, and from the few samples that the DJ elite have been dropping in their sets of late it's set to be quite a project.
As well as all this, Commix tracks and remixes are also appearing on Subtitles, Horizons Music, Dispatch and others, and their DJ sets are becoming hugely in demand across the globe, as trips across Europe, North America and the UK hold testament.

Mastering the sounds of DC drum and bass, Bobby Jae never fails with his impeccable mixing and top-notch selection. Be sure to check out Bobby Jae's new highly anticipated mix, Upfront Drum n' Bass. This follow up to his URB Mix It Best classic, Perpetual Motion, is a veritable showcase of the liquid, funky sounds that many artists on the Upfront Industries roster are currently cultivating.
BRANDON RIGGS [ Elephat.com ] - BMORE
Brandon Riggs is one of the most exciting, up and coming DJ's in the Baltimore/DC drum and bass scene. His versatility incorporating several different genres of music in his mixes and extensive scratching ability comes from 10 years of spinning hip hop, starting when he was only 13. Playing at clubs as early as 15, Brandon is no stranger to creating an energetic atmosphere on the dance floor. No matter what style of dnb he's playing on a particular night, his sets are very smooth, calculated and ALWAYS soulful.
MC SHARPNESS [ TEKDBZ | Mental Sharp ] - PHI
A true master of ceremonies, MC Sharpness will bless the mic with lyrical finesse and unmatched crowd control. One half of dynamic duo Mental Sharp, Jay and partner Armanni have been rockin clubs around the world with residencies in LA, Bmore, Philly, NYC and DC. Currently busy on tour with Goldie and Craze, check out as Sharpness makes a unique solo appearance at 5DNBsessions tonight!!
