FEATURING THE VERY BEST IN HOUSE FROM ACCROSS THE GLOBE:

TODD TERRY(X-Mix Productions - NYC)
Grammy nominated Todd Terry defined New York house during the '80s, with his sampladelic smorgasbord blending of classic disco & Hip-Hop. With two of the most respected crossover remixes of the House era ("I'll House You" by the Jungle Brothers and "Missing" by Everything but the Girl), Terry more than earned his title"Todd the God,"after his G.O.D. white label series. Producing a multiple of top 10 crossover hits on the UK pop charts including:‘Keep On Jumpin’, Royal House ‘Can You Party’, ‘Something Goin’ On.’Todd has remixed platinum artists including theRolling Stones, Shakira, Michael Jackson, Garbage, Usher, Tina Turner, Jamiroquai and Janet Jackson. Currently, Mr. Terry puts out tracks on his label In House, which he remixed Nina Simon’s classic “Feeling Good.”

CAJMEREaka Green Velvet(Cajual, Relief - Chicago)
Curtis Jones(aka Cajmere, aka Green Velvet) studied chemical engineering at the University of Illinois, where he exposed himself to the energetic culture and lifestyle of house. In 1991, midway though graduate school, Cajmere returned to Chicago to pursue his dream of producing house music. In 1992, after surviving on cheese sandwiches and maximizing credit limits, Mr. Jones finally made an imprint on the dance community with his infectious experiment, "Coffee Pot" (It's Time for the Percolator) on Clubhouse Records. Cajmere went on to collaborate with soulful House diva Dajae, which gave birth to a #2 Billboard Dance Chart and the International dance hit - "Brighter Days". It was at this point that Cajmere decided to start Cajual Records. Having his own label gave Cajmere the autonomy to attain his goal of developing a sound that was representative of Chicago - thus, putting Chicago back on the map.

ROY DAVIS JR.(Ubiquity, Undaground Therapy - Chicago)

You can't mention Roy Davis Jr. without mentioning "Gabriel, hailed by countless International publications worldwide as "Dance Tune Of The Year", Produced with vocalist and multi-talented musician Peven Everett, "Gabriel" and hit single "Watch Them Come" are certified soulful house music anthems. Originally born in California, Davis moved to Chicago's south side early in his childhood. After being turned on by legendary acid-house pioneers like Phuture and Lil' Louis, he became a DJ and began producing as well, with his first single, "20 Below," recorded for the Jack Trax label. Roy describes the music that he makes as "soul electrica"; soul music mixed with electronics. His style has changed and grown up through the years as he has been going back to his spiritual roots in house music, away from the sound that he once was associated with - Phuture's "acid" and "Wild Pitch." His latest album, "Chicago Forever" included the hit single, "If You Wanna" dropped on Ubiquity Records, and featured vocals by Detroit native Terry Dexter, spent a blazing 10 weeks on the Billboard Dance Charts. RD’s current mixed CD “Get Large” is available from Large Records.

ROBBIE RIVERA(Juicy Music - Miami)
Robbie's talent is recognized across the music industry and he is the first port of call for many wanting the Rivera sound on their releases. Though out the years, Robbie has been commissioned as a remixer by a wide range of international artists such as Faithless, Felix Da Housecat, Funky Green Dogs, Moloko, Sonique, RES, Sinead O'Connor, Victoria Beckham, Madonna, Ricky Martin, Santana, Harry Romero, Puretone, Kylie Minogue, Carlos Vives, Pink and Brandy. In his Miami based studio, Robbie began his own label "Juicy Music" which is distributed by Unique in London. Through Juicy, Robbie reflects his individual style and traits, while also giving him the opportunity to work with many of his friends and successful collaborators. A pounding, sexy house feel with a love of melodies and vocals. His label has featured superstars producers like: Superchumbo, Antoine Clamaran, DJ Flex, Saeed & Palash, DJ Rooster & Sammy Peralta, Willie Morales, Oscar G, Todd Terry, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso & Stonebridge.

OJi(Spiritual Journey, Poji Records - Baltimore)
DJ Oji was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He has been a DJ since the early of age of 14, dating back as far as 1984. Being from New York, DJ Oji has had the rare privilege of having been exposed to "House Music" and many of its legendary DJ's from the very beginning. However, most of his dance years were spent under these influences. His DJ years and production credits would later be developed in Baltimore, MD, which he now considers to be home. He came to Baltimore to attend Morgan State University and discovered that it was here that the seeds would be planted. He also discovered another brother who also shared his vision and love for House Music. DJ Pope is his name. Together they are both "The Brother's in the Struggle" and co-owners of Baltimore based recording label POJI Records.

SAM BURNS(Underground Soul Solution, XM-Radio “Beyond The Mix” - DC)
A staple in the DC House scene for more than 2 decades and a DJ for over 30 years, Sam “The Man” Burns has dedicated his life to music. As a resident of the infamous Club House in DC from the mid 80’s to 90’s, Sam earned the attention and respect of many in the district. Perhaps the most influential contribution of his career, the Underground Soul Solution, has spanned over 9 years. This Sunday night weekly had it’s beginning at State of the Union and developed into an internationally respected underground house weekly while at Red. Drawing a loyal fan base of house heads from within the district, across the region, and all over the globe, this highly successful party continues today at Dragonfly. Sam hosts the Saturday XM Radio Show “Beyond the Mix” and holds down the fort at DJ Hut, one of DC’s hottest record shops. Although Sam has done more for underground house in the district than any other individual he has the vision to realize that “House Music can no longer be commercial free.”

THOMAS BLONDET(Rhythm and Culture Recordings, 202 Digital, Cakewalk - DC)
Thomas Blondet, aka DJ Tom B has been laying down underground house at legendary house clubs for the past .fteen years. A Washington DC staple, Tom has had the time to build a following, starting at age of 14. Inspired by the early sounds of Mr. Fingers and Masters at Work, Tom developed an informed production style. Remixing such artists as Vivian Green for Sony Music and Marlon D. on Jellybean Recordings while building his own songbook, Tom was always looking for new places to take his music. Tom later began experimenting with more latin and house influences in the studio with releases on Odds and Ends and Rhythm and Culture Recordings, to name a few.

RICARDO SANTAMARIA(Solo Muzika, Omnipresent Syndicate - DC)

Born and raised in D.C., Ricardo Santamaria was immersed to vinyl delivering sounds of Latin rhythms since birth. This constant exposure welcomed all forms of music, and at 12, his aunt's cassette tapes from the infamous D.C. club, The Pier was unveiled. Thereafter, he instantly embraced the beginning of Disco and Electronica from the fresh sounds of Tom Moulton, Salsoul, Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, etc. The fusion of his Latin background and dance music influenced him to begin collecting vinyl at 14. He took almost a decade worth of experience and moved to New York. Ricardo partnered up with a reggae/R&B artist Jeffrey Spence in production. Since then, Ricardo has moved back to D.C. and is currently working in the studio. He soon plans to release his single "Steady or Not" on his Solo Muzika label.

SHANE CAMP (OmniPresent Syndicate, DC)
One of the fastest rising talents in the district, Shane Camp has been steadily gaining the attention and respect of house heads all over the region for the past 4 years. As a resident at Gallery Sessions, Shane has had the opportunity to play alongside an all star lineup of djs from accross the continent including: Roy Davis Jr, Gene Farris, John Howard, Kenny Glasgow, Sneak, Derrick Carter, Todd Terry & Honey Dijon, just to name a few. A member of OmniPresent Syndicate from the beginning, Shane has helped the resurgance of the house scene in DC, and has his sights on expanding his reach nationaly and internationaly. His ability to set the mood and control the energy of the crowd have caused Shane Camp to be a name that is synonomous with quality house in our Nation's Capital.

Pretty cool that you guys are taking over the whole club for this event and that there's no dress code, too. Gives me a chance to check out Love without some of the unsavoriness that usually comes with the club :)
