Can someone please explain to me...

Why High Contrast has done another remix of a top 40 hip hop tune? First there was the Gold Digger rmx, now hes done a remix of a Missy Elliot track called "We Run This" (Ive never heard of it but Im assuming its top 40) I mean I like his production, but he needs to stay with dnb and let the top 40 hip hop world decay on its own.

(Ian, proceed with the lame comments about how junglists are so snobby or mean or whatever you say everytime thios matter comes up)

His first few bits on hospital were fresh because he was leading that housey funk movement from the front. Then somewhere around 2002 he became a hybrid parody of himself and John B. That's when you should have stopped listening because that's when it stopped being about the music. He's been a gimmick producer for a while now and this is just more evidence of that.

Gold Digger was a white label.

Missy Elliot called High Contrast and requested he remix this for her. Big up.

DnB is pretty much Hip Hop sped up....
i like how the cross stuff over like that, in doing that they reach a wider audience like when Redman had that DnB track.
I think the next step for hiphop is prolly a hybrid of DnB and hiphop
Personally if you could get a Rapper( not n MC) with lyrical skills and place it over DnB you could really grab the market...like BOB by Outcast...it wasnt much different from DnB and people ate that shit up.
    BUUUUTTTTT....
people are to afraid to stray from the path...so in prolly 5 years, you will say...hey that one guy said this was gonna happen!!

    high contrast rules.

but contrary to your belief brad, i like the music in the song, but not the vocals.

i'd think a dub would be cooler.
