Spotted this on DOA posted by the Cymbalism crew.
These releases will be part of their New Perspective Series.
I'm very impressed with these tunes and want to spread the word.
So the one I'm going to post first is the one that has me floored. I heard Nightmare in a mix (I believe by Gein) and thought it sounded fucking devastatingly awesome, have loved it ever since and have been wondering what the hell it is. I wonder no more. Now I just wait for it to come out so I can have it.
CYMB008:
A: The Chosen "Nightmare" AUDIO
AA: Shakka + Diamond "Word Of God" AUDIO
More sickness in these. Unknown Error is really coming correct with the future sound in these imo.
CYMB005:
A: Unknown Error "Tracker" AUDIO
AA: Possession + C-Fremen "See Thru You" AUDIO
CYMB009:
A: Unknown Error "No Escape" AUDIO
AA: Subsonik "Communicate"AUDIO
Psidream & Gabriel collaboration is an excellent idea! obviously. love it.
CYMB004:
A: Psidream + Gabriel "Slangin’ Beats" AUDIO
AA: Demo + Cease "Turf War" AUDIO
More from Unknown Error and this Jackal tune is pretty dope too imo.
CYMB006:
A: Tunnel Vision "Jackal" AUDIO
AA: Unknown Error "Into The Night" AUDIO
This one is my least favorite of the releases lined up, but I still think it's hot, and there's always room for it to grow on me even more.
CYMB007:
A: D-Star "On The Go" AUDIO
AA: SST "Strange Valley" AUDIO
and now for some artwork and words from Cymbalism in regards to these releases in case you want something to look at/ read while you are peepin the sickness in the audio samples.
"After a few weeks of thought, we have decided to change the series from EPs to individual 12"s. That's right, now you can buy them individually!
The releases will be available in the upcoming months, one 12" a week for six weeks straight."
"We plan on keeping the quality coming full force with forthcoming material from Alliance, Psidream, Gabriel, Mumblz + Fixation, State of Mind and much much more so keep your eyes and ears opened for whats to come in 2006!!
All the best from the Cymbalism Camp!"
"UPDATE: 11.03.05
all of the artwork has been uploaded to the printer so we're getting started on production of the series. we've decided to go w/one house bag for all the 12"s but change the label colours to designate each release. we did this to make sure everything was done faster w/less printing headaches and to get the releases to you sooner than later. multiple sleeves would probably set us back some time as we are approaching the end of the year and a lot of labels start dropping tons of stuff around this time - we just want to make sure we're one step ahead and get things out when expected instead of slagging :)
the first set of tests have been approved for CYMB004 (slangin beats/turf war) and CYMB005 (tracker/see thru you) - all the tracks sound hot and beau did an excellent job of mastering!!
we'll have more info for you soon so stay put!"
