I honestly have been let down by koma and bones for quite some time. their powercut remix is the only thing I really liked since morpheus.

    see.

some of their shit i think is great. that remix of rennie pilgrem's coming up for air i thought was the last thing they did that was good.

most everything now is ploddy to a degree that ploddy should never get to. it's ALL housey as fuck, and way too minimal.

and when that is coming from me, you know it's bad.

Rogue Element ... on a serious winning streak and can do no wrong.

Myagi ... has some incredible forthcoming tunes that will be international anthems.

Atomic Hooligan ... getting pretty technoey and dangerously approaching 4/4 territory, but I like techno so piss off.

Splitloop ... keeps getting better and better, when you hear the remix of Never Stop forthcoming on Menu you'll wet yourself.

Smithmonger ... Grizzle is f*cking ace tune.

I'm honestly getting disappointed with Finger Lickin, I think the last release I loved was Drumattic Twins - Le Funky / Rock Steady and I can't believe they passed on releasing Plump Enough .... but I don't imagine they'll be down for too long.

    my response to this -

rogue element - making some SERIOUSLY bad ass house.

blah blah. ( i like myagi and atomic hooligan too)

there isnt one person in this area who doesnt know that i think splitloop are pure genius. in fact the most genius people making breaks period i think.

my problem with rogue element is that most of the songs sound the same. made me not want to buy the newer stuff.

    hmmm...
My favorites have definately changed in the last couple months.

Definately liking Elite Force. Producing some gems right now.

lee Coombs is starting to bore me. Mismoplastico was his last jam.

Aquasky is stepping up with some fresh material with "underneath".

I'm totally feeling this new producer "Artcrime" Check the tune:http://www.streetwisemusic.co.uk/stream/134734.ram

Move ya & steve lavers are still solid...though I never did pick up "rock me"..."The ride", or rather "ride again" is the better version is great and I'm only just beginning to fuck with it.

a couple decent whites out lately: Overground Persistence is definately in the right zone...Sol Selectas with their rendition of Lionel Richie and the "Gaz" break complete with "KONG!" ..and honorable mention to the "mashed up" series...that missy track is serious. I'd buy that. ...and can't forget the "mashed up funk" series from jalepeno. I like jalepenos, habaneros, and I like those records.

strangely...all the usual suspects of nu skool are turning me off right now. Totally not feeling the sound. Myagi is doing some nice stuff though...and if I could just figure out what is appealing about splitloop, then maybe I'll put them in there too, but I'm still working on that one.
