5400 RPM is decent for lightwieght audio, but not recording 8 tracks of 24 bit audio at time. Well, it'll barely do that.Originally Posted by Milkman John
Hitachi/IBM makes some 2.5" 7200 RPM drives. The problem with faster laptop drives is more heat generation, though, which can kill some laptops.
But if you really need disk performance on a laptop, then you need to get an external Firewire/USB2 drive.
