    Why wouldn't you just get a good normal laptop? Who makes this thing, anyway?

    that's not enough ram to run most programs...
    you need at least a gig to even get protools running smoothly

    and the hd is 5400 rpm

    HORRIBLE for audio

    then again, is there a disk for laptops thats 7200 or up besides external?

    5400 RPM is decent for lightwieght audio, but not recording 8 tracks of 24 bit audio at time. Well, it'll barely do that.

    Hitachi/IBM makes some 2.5" 7200 RPM drives. The problem with faster laptop drives is more heat generation, though, which can kill some laptops.

    But if you really need disk performance on a laptop, then you need to get an external Firewire/USB2 drive.
