    Downtempo and hip hop record stores?

    Are there any you guys can recommend in the DC/Baltimore area?

    Tower records as well for *some* hip hop.

    That's fine EDM is not what I'm going for here at all. Good call on the Tower suggestion I used to work there and completely forgot they even sell records. durp

    Capitol City has a good hiphop selection too, not sure about downtempo shops in the area.....

    my fav record store in b'more is in fells point. can't remember the name, but if you take broadway all the way to the water and hang a right its in the first or second block on the right.

    that would be soundgarden, and they have a decent selection of downtempo, hip hop and micro house.

    there's a used vinyl store in Hampden. they've got a lot of stuff (not necessaryly hiphops... but I saw some downtempo stuff) from before mid 80s.

    there's a new place in adams morgan with a very eclectic selection, lots of non edm stuff in there- it's called crooked beats. its on 18th street right near maggie moo's in a townhouse basement. definitely worth checking out.
