2 mixers vs a daddy mixer?

im thinking of doing a sample based mix using loops n riffs,

id be using 2 decks and four cds but not sure which option to do, either

get a daddy mixer for a ll of em or

use my three channel (effect going into middle)and plug the output into the middle on the oanother 3channel

this in theory would give me 4 channels plus middle and i can switch over for standard set,

any advice on larger mixers (ive never used one), they seem to be made for standard sets.
i e can i moniter something in a phono input if its switched to the line input at the top???

well you could go with somethin like the pioneer 500/600/3000 you'ld have 3 phono channels and 4 line in channels. The 500/600 are pretty much the standards these days at most clubs that focus on EDM so you wouldnt really have to worry about learning a new mixer when you are out playing either. But if you had to decided between the 3, try to go with the 600 at the minimum the 3000, they are worth the extra bucks.

I don't know of any mixer that would do this... and if you're looking for something with 6 channels on it... there's very few options out there... I think there's an Allen & Heath... and of course, the new big pimpin style pioneer DJM-1000... and that Pioneer will run you three grand... so you may want to just make 4 channels work ;)

hmm...I was just reading about this one. Love the fader curve adjust idea on the individual channels and the optional rotary knobs. But is this technology really worth 3K?

Unless you have two people....just use a 4 channel mixer and hook your cd decks to some of the phono lines and use the toggle switches if you feel you really need that many channels.

If you insist on piggybackin two mixers I can give you more info....we are actually doing a 5 turntable, 2 mixer, 4 dj set (Section 8 vs Exit) at our upcoming park party. But yeah- you aren't Doctor Octopus and that is a multi-person arrangement.

    not for a pioneer.

I wouldnt spend more than 500 on any pioneer mixer.

If you are spending that much money get a Urei, Rane rotary, or an Allen and Heath.

When i messed with the 1000 down in Miami this WMC I wasn't all that impressed, especially at the 3000 price. The Zone line of mixers allen and heath have out (IMO) are much better mixers than the 1000 and less in price.

No.. any mixer that I've encountered the monitor occurs after the phono/line switch. Part of the reason for this is the phono channel has to be pre amped to get to line level, so if you monitored it straight out of the jack you wouldn't be able to hear anything.

You could hack it though and wire the monitor buttons/switch up differently, if you're into that sort of thing.

    err 3k

since im not making from this atm, i dont feel that 3k would be a right, ill probably go with the other 3 channel as ill have a cross fader for each one instead of a master for allcan get a beringer one for .1k and if the set works out good, i can go from there,

besides if i had that in my house id never leave in case it got robbed.

however ill need some cd players, advice on them? (only using crappy ones atm), the ones ive seen though, seem to have digital pitch which only goes to one decimal point analogue seems to stay in for much longer without a need to retouch to keep the tracks in sync.

so im basically looking for cd players that have a good pitch correction and good manual control, no effects or sampling needed as i prefer to keep it seperate.
