After almost a 2 year hiatus, Terry Mullan's Catalyst Recordings is back and ready to take over turntables worldwide. Many of you may already be familiar with Catalyst Recordings because it has been providing underground classics for nearly a decade by some of the most respected artists in the EDM community, such as; Ian Pooley, DJ Sneak, Mazi, Terry Mullan, Paul Birken, Bryan Zentz, Angel Alanis, Jordan Fields, Chris Anderson, Vitamin D, and Halo Varga. Keeping up with the tradition of excellence and spearheading the 2005 release schedule is the "Old Skool EP" from up and coming stateside acid house producer, TJR.



Being a DJ for the past 10 years and making a name for himself by winning dj competitions, playing out nationally and pushing his distinctive sound of funky house with obscure transform skratching and cutting, TJR has now shifted to his other passion, acid house.

Starting it off is "Old Skoolin". This is a great example of dance floor acid house; punchy percussions with a quarky acid pattern that immediately jumps out of the grooves once it hits! The track is complimented with shuffling hi-hat patterns, changing 808 and 909 percussion sequences, rhythmic background bleeps & bloops, and a DJ friendly intro and outro. The flip side contains another slice of dance floor oriented acid house, "Lil Silver Bitch". This beast will bring any crowd to life with its thunderous drums, catchy bouncy acid line, 303 tweaks, and the always DJ friendly intro/outro. To top it off, this EP is a one track per side, 45 RPM, for maximum loudness and sound quality!
