    Anyone else sleep to Ambient?

I bought a used POS latop for 20 bucks from work a while back for the single purpose of sitting in top of my stereo in my room so I can tune in to Shoutcast and sleep listening to ambient tunes!

Am i strange because of this? Please tell me I'm not the only one....

Right now DI's Ambient is totally owning me -- and putting me to sleep zzzzZZZzzZZzzzz...

That's not weird at all. If I have problems sleeping, I listen to something downtempo or pop in a classical CD.

I usually fall asleep to Portishead or DCFC lately.

i go to sleep to Nick Warren's "Back To Mine" CD every night.

    Craig Armstrong - This Love
Coldcut - Autumn Leaves (irresistable force mix)

those two tracks are pretty sweet

Ambient is always good to sleep/relax/meditate to... light the incense and candles...
My mix "Blotting Out The Sun" is available here, as well as my demos from 08 and 07. and here's myspace.

I normally can't sleep to music, but when I do it's usually something like chilled out progressive... sometimes radiohead and the like but that usually isn't very good for sleeping

I've had my window open for about 6 months now, I find that the sound of passing cars/random other sounds put me to sleep a-ok. I can't fall asleep in dead silence.

The BEST thing to fall asleep to, though, is thunderstorms. As violent as they may be outside, I really can't think of anything more tranquil than lying in your bed listening to a good thunderstorm. It's just so peaceful, at least to me.

If neither is happening, I normally turn on the radio to a rock station. I can fall asleep to pretty much any kind of music.

I agree... but theres always some kind of noise going on in my house so usually even when everything is off I still have something to keep me asleep (maybe thats why I sleep as long as I do)
