    my favorite mixed drink....

not really my style, but the track sounds pretty clean. was hoping for a bit more drumwork. also the breakdown didn't really have much substance. did i hear an AIM door closing sound in there?..haha.

i think it would be a quality track if you just put a bit more variation in there in the different loops.
what program did you use to make it?

    :eddie:

i used Acid 4.0 and soundforge to master

i did alot of drum work in the track. its small stutter up change ups to add flavor to the overlying two step break.

    thanks for the review

ok. i think i feel almost the same way as i felt about your last one i heard.

just a little too repetitive. it sux b/c in EDM there is a fine line between keeping the beat going for a while, making it danceable, and being too repetitive. also, sometimes in EDM if someone just doesn't plain like it, they may blame it on it being repetitive (well of course it seems repetitive, you don't like the beat from the getgo)

I think it's a bit long, so you could shorten it up to tighten it up, and since it would be shorter it wouldnt seem so repetitive. I think you seem to be making good use of the tools that are available to you. only other thing i could say is more Bass. you need a sick bassline in there, something that moves you deeply.

less delay on the beats they sound like their out of time esp the hats. u want the kick and snare to cut through the mix right now they sound a bit thin. nice use of samples but some of the sounds are poorly mixed/muddy together. you want to aim for less frequency clashes when ur mixing ur track together. things like bass and drums should be what stands out. other than that the ideas are there, just needs some touch up :leon:

    bass goes boom

    :bandito:

The bass is there man. its sub bass. theres the basic long bass boom, which can be heard in the beginning, in the middle of the second movement and at the end of the track. then there is the club thump bass. varying from 5-6 hits. think warhead bassline, thats what it is , except i got up the pitch spectrum a bit at plus 2 on some hits. the bass is there seriously it is, get some subs and then you'll see damn he's right. starski pointed out that i need to work on the bass frequency and warmth aspect. and maybe thats why most people arent hearing it that much on home speakers. i'll work on that. but from my end. it goes, boom boom boom boom. the repetitive thing is for the dj's. alot of my other stuff tries not to be repetitive, soon i'll come out with a cleaner version of ACL8 for you to hear. that is a killer IDM sort of DNB futuristic tech step track. nothing repetitive at all in that one, hard as nails. trust me.

thanks for the replies and keep them coming, i'll work on uping the second overlap beats so you can hear the variation on my end of things, the WMA kind of sqashes the shit.
