No luck there... that's why I am here. I could order it, but I want to see if I can save some money.

I was just there, I researched a few places round the beltway... some what upwards of $300 for parts and labor. I would send it in to tascam, but then I pay shipping and wait a long ass time to get my mixer back. I was just wondering if anyone knew something I dont about how to get my hands on stuff like this.

Guess I shouldnt bang my faders so hard.

    Thanks for the link.

You could probably have one of these centers order the part for you and you can replace it yourself. I imagine you don't need any special tools and just need to be careful. It's going to be very hard to find cheap replacement parts for a model that's still in active production by Tascam.

Is it a channel fader or the x-fade? The x-fade is usually totaly user-replaceable.

No... it's not the x-fader. I do a lot of agressive cuts and slams. I wrecked the chanel one upfader. It looks relativly easy to take apart. I have acess to electro static mats and tools, I just cant find the part I need.... actually, I don't really even know what I am looking for. It will provide sound output if you push the fader firmly past the "10" setting.

I still have 3 chanels left, but... you know, it's kind of annoying.

I've always had problems with faders, one of the reasons I don't use them anymore. I stick to individual volume control for each channel, and it feels like I have a little more control over my blends.

    Might be worth trying out.

So you blend strictly with the x-fader then? I started that way, but I realized that the x-fader had a much steeper rise in volume than the up faders.

Ill add it to my basket.

After I watch it, Ill jam it in my mixer and see if it fixes it.

Maybe they can do a new video featuring me acting mad as fuck because my fader is wack.

    No, Wiggity-wack.

doesn't look like anyone has it.

why don't you bring it in to Guitar center and ask them to see if they can order you the part?

No, I don't use the fader at all. I center it, and use only the individual channel volumes and the gains.
