I have a VERY old skool gridlock cd.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

He's on DOA alot and is always helpful to new producers. I think he's based in SF if im not mistaken.Originally Posted by zartan

yeah...got his start in Florida w/the technorganic crew (still have a few of his old tunes from that label + a mix) and then moved out west to SF.
he's come a LONG way as a producer...not saying he was bad before, but definitely not @ the level he is now. 95% of his releases are playable.

I would agree with you there mike...but some are just alittle off...I DID NOT like the "Doorway" remix that he & Echo did...doesn't give the original justice @ all.....
"Pacemaker"
"Vampires"
"Like This"
)EIB( - Infinity (Gridlok Remix) *F*CKIN TUNE RIGHT THERE!*
"Vampires VIP" *DOn't know if this is out yet...got it on a CD-R though...BAD ASS
"AC/DC" He & Hive did a GOOD job on this!
THose are my Faves! Great producer...but I heard he is a dick in person.......just what I heard.

just got vampires on vinyl.... along w/ heatwave/the ripper.
www.gridlok.net has a bio and a lot of additional info. I agree with Mike, he's come a long way. I've been really into his stuff since about the winter of 2002-2003, he really came around.Originally Posted by darkenetiks

"Tricks" is I N S A N E, my favorite tune from NYE, plus the remix of "Vampire" (is it the VIP or a new mix?!?!), and the collaboration "Piston" with Kaos, that gets the big  from me. And then you have his remix of Ed Rush + Optical's "Compound," which is dope.

Yeah, he lives in SF. Definitely a nice guy, very unassuming. I actually talked to him a number of times before I found out he was the infamous Gridlok. Of course, now that he's all the shit, maybe he'll turn into a super-mega-asshole! Heheh. Probably not.
Most of those SF guys are very nice and down to earth. It's hard not to be living in the Bay Area. Although a couple of guys do manage to be total wankers. I won't mention names. :)

"Heatwave" is my favorite tune of 2003. Hands down. I actually heard it the day he finished it and Hive claimed it for Violence; everyone in the room knew it was going to kill.Originally Posted by zartan
