    DJ Hyper

All I can say about this man is that everyone should :bowtodaking: as far as DJ Hyper and breakbeats go. His new album is absolutely sickness. And I just love something about how he doesn't do too much with his breaks productions and not too little either. I'd have to say that in my opinion DJ Hyper is where it's at right now for breakbeats.

    Later,

yup.. he's great live too... only problem is most people at clubs don't like breaks and can't dance to them at all.. he was up here in new york in march or april and was throwing down a great set... there were probably 20 people dancing in a club filled with about 1000 people... people were screaming for Green Velvet who was supposed to go on afterwards... no respect!

    yup.. it's a damn shame...

they had some fashion show going on while hyper was setting up... went to the dj booth to say hi and show my appreciation and he said he couldn't believe what he was seeing... he just laughed the whole thing off... i'm telling you no respect..

he also got thrown out of space during the wmc for playing breaks in the main room... poor guy... give him some respect...

I wish Hyper would come around. I know he came to the 930 with Crystal Method, but I didn't wanna waste $25 on that. I am hoping he comes by Sonar or Cubik.

Well the thing about places like 9:30 club or even Nation sometimes is that many people tend to be trendroids. And I'd say that Hyper isn't commercially very well known at this point. People that buy records and are well versed on underground edm and who makes it I.E. DJs of course know Hyper and are either into that style or aren't. Others however, I.E. your everday plurry freindly clubgoer tend to let the music they like be shaped by thier friends and others around them following trends. These people probably don't know who the hell Hyper is at all. But again this is a generalization and not true in every case.
