it s not really new, but i just recently got ahold of spectrasonics atmosphere, and have to say am very impressed by it s sound, it has great atmospheric and pad sounds as well as bass and lead sounds, it has over 4 gigs of sounds and is extremely user friendly, i give it 4.5/5 stars

El Nemo, you should check out Trilogy from Spectrasonics. Amaaaaazing basses of all sorts. From 5-string electric, muted reggae type bass guitar to excellent renditions of Moogs and Juno synth basses.

As far as other soft synths I'm enjoying right now, there are two:

    Zebra (Mac only) Arturia's CS-80V

Yeah, all the goodness of their Virus C hardware engine in PC Powercore. If I had the money for the PCI-based Powercore, the Virus version for it would be my first buy.

I've been using the Novation Vstation heavily lately.
esp. for all the 303 acid/bass line stuff.
