    Punisher movie...

John Travolta going to be the villian. This movie just got better knowing he will be the main villian.

man I can't wait for this movie to come out. BTW its 5:30 in the morning anyone else not go tosleep yet? hmmm now I just watch the trailer and it looks like I might not like it after all. This was one comic that I actually somewhat read and im sure its not going to follow it at all. I mean I saw no hell's kitchen references and whats with his family being killed at the beach? Oh well I'll be there opening night anyway....

Unfortinately I wanted the First Punisher movie to be the SpiderMan Vs Punisher but then I am sure they would have a fit to say who the leading actor was. This movie is going to have a different story line from the original comic I do not blame Marvel for this I blame Hollywood.

They already did a Punisher movie back in the 80's.... and it sucked. I can't remember, but I think Stalone was the lead and the story was more literal than the comics...

    A couple of points:
    1) Dulph Lungrin played in the first Punisher Movie
    2) The Punisher doesn't need to be in Hell's Kitchen. That's Daredevil.
    3) They used some great Punisher works, including some of the recent and best written ones by Garth Ennis, as the base for the movie.

    4) The trailer makes the movie look like nothing but a typical action movie. I hope it's going to be good, but I don't have high expectations for this one.

btw- John Travolta as the villain?!? WTF? "Bring me Frank Castle. He's so weiad!" It could at least be entertaining with him as the villain.. well, one of them. Kevin Nash of WWE fame is playing another villain, The Russian (who is from one of the first Garth Ennis-penned story arcs)

I can't stand it when people say that. Listen carefully: When they make a movie based on a comic book, learn to seperate the comic from the movie. If you expect the comic book on screen, you might at well take the movie you would have spent on a ticket and buy a comic, because you're never going to get what you want. comics are notoriously hard to transfer onto the screen, not only because of the medium, but because, in cases like Spider-Man and X-Men, you have @ 40 years of history to deal with, and need to extract all of the major points you need to please fans of the comic, while at the same time, not shunning those who had never read them. I have yet to be disappointed with any one of the comic movies that I have seen within the past couple of years, which included X-Men, X2, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Hulk (had low expectations for this one), From Hell, Road to Perdition, Blade, and Blade 2.

Frank Castle or the Rock is going to be one of the options for the Venom character in the third Spiderman. So thats why they did not use him. At least that was a rumor I read at one point.

Good Point cause in the Comic world Blade and Spider-Man team up on a number of occasions there is no way they could ever make a joint movie at this point it would turn out to be the worst movie ever.

Fuck that shit me and my friends wathced X-2 and it sucks man. X-men movies
suck. Me and my friends could of thought of better story lines then those. And all the characters being changed. None of the actors did the characters justice. We all used to watch the animated series religiously. I watched 5 seasons of incredible x-men. This shit thats put out to be the x-men ruins it completly. The actors Halle Berry, and Hugh Jackman said they wont do a third. I wonder why? Because its a fucking piece of shit series that no one is proud of. I would seriously much rather seen the animated series become an incredible movie. Oh well there goes the x-men movies. Fuck the movies period. I cant wait for the animated series to come on DVD. That would be sick because the x-men is more then just a fucking hour and 45 minute movie it is a saga between mutant and man and they did not portray that or the characters just. That is all

Wait... you hated X2, but you loved the old animated series? Well, there's no accounting for taste. You didn't like the story? Did you realize that it's based heavily on one of the most classic X-Men story arcs ever written: God Loves, Man Kills? But, I guess you know more about plot then Chris Clarmont, who pretty much created all of these storylines that comic fans grew up with. And where did you hear about Hugh Jackman not coming back if a third one gets made? And nobody being proud of it? What in the hell are you talking about? All are extremely proud of their work on X2, especially since it's been ranked as the best comic book movie to have come out. I can't stand it when comic fans are so anal about what they want to see on screen in a comic book movie.

The animated series is far better then the movies. I am extremely proud of the series not the movies. The movies were not great no matter what you say. They
sucked in my mind how dope the tv show and comics were. I stopped reading when wolverine got his adimatium torn out by magneto which was like 9 years ago. It's not about what I want to see onscreen its about being pleased during and after the movie so If X-2 is the greatest comic book movie off all time then someone needs to make another because it is unacceptable. The characters sucked period. The storyline wasnt great which means it sucked period.
The movies failed to me. And if you have problems with the old series that is poor taste. The x-men deserve a better movie. I discussed this with ten others. The show was better. The movie would have been better animated then what was produced. It was trash, doo doo whatever. The movie is not great, its not even that good. If you can watch X-men 2 twice in a row and want to watch it again and again go ahead I wont watch it because it fails in comparison. Lord of the rings was portrayed brilliantly. My father who knew the writer years ago used to watch the series with me said that the movies failed because the show was so great. Im not anal I just wanted a good xmen movie not the two pieces of crap labbled xmen.
