factual? Well yes and no.
Based on actual conspiracy theories, yes, but I doubt there is much substance to them. Have you read Foucalt's Pendulum, by Umberto Eco?

a lot of the research is supposed to be based on this book, which btw, apparently influenced The Matrix somehow--- It's about the Merovingians, a group of French Kings which protect the bloodline of christ---

The Merovingians are a big part of the Da Vinci code - Brown's story says that they are the actual bloodline of Christ and MM... I haven't read Focolt's Pendulum yet - that's my next book. I'm not religious at all, but I find this kind of stuff fascinating...Originally posted by empath

Ray, check out Bloodline of the Holy Grail by Lawerence Gardner. It deals with similar source material and is a very interesting read.
