no, no, no, don't throw the gum out, the gum has more stickers in them that are numbered and collectable!
so, unwrap all the gum and get the stickers at least...
but eating is up to you.
besides, the gum is cheap and loses it's flavor after like 15 minutes...
the stickers aren't that great... most of em are printed all lopsided and wrong.

well, I'm obsessed, so I want them all.
as a kid I really wasn't allowed to have many of them, so I hig them and had like 100 cards, all of which I STILL have here with me, dug them out the other day.
