Tunes you say? Hitting you up now, haha.. Thanks bro.

Yeah, DNB is actually new to me (played house for about 15 years). So there are a bunch of older tracks on here which are new to me :)

Actually, we are changing I ♥ Bass, we have stop it weekly and will be doing more 1 off / monthly style events. Our next event is July 8th and will be a mix of house / dnb. Ken ECB & Aaron will play House, Slant & Bjoo and myself are playing DNB w/MC Nes.

We are also working on weekend events here and there as well and partnering up with other crews to do their DNB nights / rooms.

We got a lot in the works, nothing firm to announce just yet :)

There really isn't enough DNB nights in DC imo.

damn right there isn't. relatively new to music/club scene here but i was told that DnB's supposed to be popular here, but i remember telling this guy i know who used to be big into DnB w/in the area that i'd started spinning DnB, he'd told me that it's 2009, not 1998. i remember eric aka illeffect telling me that the popularity of DnB w/in the club scene tends to fluctuate. is it rinsed out? or are there some other variables that make it hard for promoters to organize DnB events on a consistent-monthly if not weekly-basis?
...sorry got into a bit of a rant there, questions aren't really directed towards the mod but yeah if there are straightforward or legit answers to these questions i wanna hear it...

Beats me, I'm faily new to promoting DNB so I can't speak from past experiences. I don't really care to be honest, even if DNB (or whatever I'm feeling at that time) is not the HOT genre I'm still gonna push the sounds I'm feeling and hope there are people that are feelin it to.

    Keep pushin!

yea, DnB used to have a consistent stream of weekly and monthly parties back in the day...parties like Sunday Night Sessions, Act Your Age, Stereo, Volume, Upfront's 5ive DnB Sessions, 2Tuff's parties at Red, and of course Buzz...there was so much Drum & Bass talent coming through DC. Unfortunately, things have dried up since then...

The difficulty is that DnB is a risk financially when headliners are involved. Anyone throwing DnB specific parties here in DC with the intention of making money off of them is smoking crack; if you are going to do a DnB party in DC, be prepared to lose money....I personally am really supprised when I break even.

I started throwing Konkrete Jungle DC monthlies due to the lack of DnB specific parties in DC, and with the intent of bringing talent that had never played in DC through..we had a good run of domestic and International talent come through (Infiltrata, Mason, DStar, Fanu, Gein, Ewun, Perpetuum, TetraDin, Genr8, The Chosen, Diode, Silent Extent, TitanZERO, Breaker, Silent Killer, etc...), then took a 3 month break due some venue issues, as not many places are willing to give up a weekend for a risk like DnB. Lately Konkrete Jungle DC has been doing free parties at Jimmy Valentine's, a dope little spot, and have been focusing on locals mainly, though I actually just had Perpetuum & Genr8 play a free party there last weekend. we plan on moving KJDC to the owner of Jimmy Valentine's new spot as soon as it opens and will return to bringing headliners through again.

Im really glad to see someone else (Ray!!!) helping out to keep DnB alive in DC, Ive been to a few of the I <3 Bass parties (its hard for me to go out durring the week), and they are killer! Modern is a sick venue, so if you've never been, I highly suggest checking it out!
