yes it is.... there hasnt been this much in the way of stateside talent associated with the breakspoll name since a certain other US act, that shall remain unnamed ;) , paved the way to show that americans can indeed break into the UK dominated awards show

now we got henryd reppin the USA, playing the event, dnf with a nomination... US labels in the top labels nominations - ICEY finally getting a nomination in the best DJ category after 7 years of getting snubbed from the awards altogether...

i think the new mgmt and new idea of how to run the voting were a well needed change, since breakspoll before was nothing but a nuskoolbreaks.co.uk member dominated self stroking ego fest in the past

Werd! I bet being the first US act to perform at an event like breakpoll was awesome for who it was!

I think just going next year will be full of awesome! We could never get a lineup close to that over here.

well... after some research, it was soteg who was first (who also just made the claim to me in AIM that he was the first american to play music in england EVER hahaha), in 2004 ...not who originally was thought to be first... but technically, the other act was the first sateside dj performance at breakspoll and the set was aired on bbc radio1, worldwide, to millions of listeners hehe...

Ah ok haha! Still the oppurtunity of playing over there for that with that collection of artists must have been an experience of a lifetime.

    well said..

ever since Stanton Warriors used one of our edits on Sessions lll, it seems people over the pond want to chat a bit more. the politics...

foreign producers seem very willing of late to work together with american folk.

playing overseas is definately a crazy time. look forward to going back this summer!

we have a few releases coming out on overseas labels..

    ibreaks / against the grain
