In conjunction with Covert Operations Recordings, the first installment of the Astral Traveller LP blends the best elements of old school jungle with ASC’s signature futuristic sound. “Lightyears” is a preview of the vibe behind the LP. The track opens with minimal breakbeats and blossoms into a harmonious mixture of spliced edits, eerie atmospherics, and a pulsing sub bass generating a sound as deep as the epic abyss of space. The more energetic “Delta Shift” combines timeless old school sounds, with cascading drums, progressive synths, and deep, echoing vocals/fx to give the overall release a unique edge as it fuses old with new.
