Druid - jungletrain.net promomix december 2008
DJ Druid is the stage-name of Michiel Rook, a drum & bass DJ and producer hailing from the city of Utrecht (the Netherlands). His musical roots can be traced back to old school hip hop and jungle, acid, techno, trance, big beat, and the menacing industrial sounds of hardcore/gabber.
Druid started spinning in the summer of '99 and has performed in venues all over the country, such as Nighttown, Tivoli, Goudvishal, Atak, Ekko and Club Mezz. Together with partner-in-crime DJ Flavour he organized the infamous Dungeons & DJs events, and is very involved in the successful "Utreg Massive" crew, hosting a bi-monthly in his home town.
2009 is looking to become a big year for Druid, with a few releases already scheduled on a couple of digital labels, and more on the horizon!
