On Thursday, February 7th, I'm extremely proud to be bringing Camea [Clink Recordings, Berlin] to DC as part of her current US tour.
If you don't know, Camea is one of the hottest minimal techno dj's out there right now. She rocked the house last year at Pulse and will surely do the same at Napoleon. I just had the privilege of seeing her along with Matthew Dear in NYC and it was fantastic. My friend commented that he had rarely seen anyone build a night up as well as Camea did with her set, and it takes real talent to do so. (hopefully I can manage to do the same for Camea... lol)

As the flier says, space is extremely limited, so get there early to make sure you can get in! Napoleon (located in Adam's Morgan) is a really intimate venue, so this will be a very special night.

*BUMP* this thread. Techno is totally where it's at. The dust party in C-ville with Measax and Jeffrey S., and the rest of the StirSound crew really turned me on to minimal, and techno in general. You guys have got something going. Kudos on resurrecting techno in the DC/MD/VA area! Seriously. We're kind of getting back to our roots! I love it! Keep it up!

Camea, a classically trained piano and clarinet player turned electronica diva, offers a funky-sexy blend of groovy minimal house and techno-pop, a little bit dirty and a lot danceable. A rising star on the producing scene, her tracks have been played and charted by many leading artists, and in 2007 she has remixes out Minus and Einmaleins, as well as original music on Spectral. She's also the co-founder of two record labels, Clink Recordings and Klickhaus, which showcases the best of minimal techno, and both imprints have received International attention and press from DJs, critics and listeners. Working closely with New York locals Tim Xavier, Insideout, Tony Rohr, Ambivalent and Elon, Camea is passionate about both labels and continues to work hard to keep them on the rise.

From small, underground clubs to crowds numbering in thousands, Camea is recognized for her intelligent, fun music selection and outgoing stage presence, which has earned her a valuable reputation worldwide.
