Lifted Music: From The Inside Out EP, Breed 12 Inches & Tour

Finally, Lifted Music's eagerly awaited epic collaboration EP is mastered and ready to hit the shelves...

From the label that sent sparks flying last year, the Lifted Collectiveís third offering is here to kick-start 2008 in impressive fashion. 'From The Inside Out' brings together the entire Lifted Crew, in a collection of tracks all formed in intense studio sessions in the UK. Spor, Apex, Ewun, Evol Intent and German masterminds Phace all make distinct appearences on a record that fuses together multiple inputs, sounds and creativity. This double 12" is proof there's definately no holding back this year. With unmissable DJ support across the board, LFTD003 proves to be another must-have high-energy release.

    A) Spor, Apex, Ewun & Evol Intent - Dirge
    B) Ewun & Spor - We Dominate
    C) Spor, Ewun & Evol Intent
    D) Spor & Phace - Dying of the Light

    And in other news...

Crack the Champagne, get your dancing shoes on, and prepare yourself for another exciting move from Lifted Music. Since its inception Lifted Music has created a massive impact upon the Drum & Bass scene and beyond with their high quality, high octane releases. Aswell as their infamous Podcast series (with a listenership in excess of 100,000 avid fans), incredible branding and a master plan to deliver the next generation of artistís right to your aural doorstepÖ

The master plan weíre talking about is Liftedís brand new concept label ëBreed Twelve Inchesí, an imprint which will act as a starting block for musicians with extreme talent and production abilities. The main concept is simple; Breed Twelve Inches has been set up as a means to nurture new talent, a tool to help establish up and coming artists, raise them through the ranks until they are ready to debut their very best work on the colossal Lifted Music.

As you would expect from someone whoís in the best position to review the freshest musical talent around, Chris Renegade is excited about the future of Breed: ëBreed Twelve Inches is destined to be the future of progressive, aggressive Drum & Bass, weíre looking for talented production, skillful engineering, and a main focus on a truly unique and recognisable vibe. With our debut releases on Breed, itís about getting these fresh tracks and working with the artist to bring about the best release possible. Itís not just about banging a record out, I want to see them through to a stage where theyíre doing serious damage on dancefloors around the world.í

honestly i might be the only one who thinks this, but i think dirge is way overrated. that kazoo sound in the buildup before the drop reminds me of some clown shit. the rest of the EP Is totally kickass though. I didn't even know there was an Spor&PHACE* collab, that's easily my favorite track on there.

yeah, i completely agree. im not a big fan of dirge at all, i love every other thing associated with lifted, but that song just does not strike my fancy. i guess its ok, but mediocrity is not something i would ever expect from the artists responsible.

eh, you're not the only one.
lifted is making the best shit out right now, but dirge is just okay.

it's well produced as all fuck, but that's the word i would use to decribe the musicianship too : mediocre.

fuck all of you....Dirge is the fucking Jam...reminds me of a sick "Shadowboxing" remix...and that "kazoo" sound is just the reece being low cut and having its bit depth reduced (ie bitcrushing)...

Im not too huge on dying of the light...
