Brandon Black, part of the Speakeasy fools, who have been throwing some great events here in Va (thanks to elm sound system:) Has been hard at work in the studio whippin' up tracks, and recently signed some releases to Clean House, Dirty Boots and Flat Pack.

Miguel Lush rep'in Charm City will be joining us, warming up the floor with some heaters.

Just wanted to say a couple of things...

First... we had a long and, what I believe was a succesful run at Casablanca for close to 3 yrs now. Management was more than fair, and I have a lot of respect for Rafi and the other staff.

Basically, since our party was a monthly, they were having problems finding promoters for the other Friday nights. They've asked us if we wanted to do a weekly and we turned down the offer. A new promoter approached them wanting to do every Fri night. Management tried to keep our one Friday night a month, but the promoter would only do it if he could have every Friday.

All that being said, I completely understand the need for them to have a promoter every Friday. They didn't have any business on the other nights, and I wish them all the best.

I think this might be a good thing for ELM, as Juan and I were starting to feel like it was time to search out a new venue anyways, hopefully in the city. We're working on a couple of things right now, and fully expect to have the ELM parties up and running again in the next couple months. We'll keep people posted.

P.S. the annual Xmas/ Bday party/ Festivus at Casablanca will still be in effect this Dec.
