This started as a practice recording for the LIVE set I played @ Throttle when I opened for the one of my true fucking Idols Bassbin Twins a few weeks ago. Awesome show. Awesome time. Refer the Bassbin breaks thread.

The response to that 1 take practice session prompted me to re-record it. I reworked a few mixes. Left one track off all together to make the set more cohesive. And after deciding to actually release this as my Fall Mix I needed a "DJ NYSUS" style name. After "Statutory Hotbox" and "Knee Deep in Rocksauce". It had to be good..

Using the bouncing booty vibe the cd has as my inspiration I came up with................

solid mix... good D&B transition... good one dion... one of your best.... one thing i didn't like the reverse accapelle... it took too long for you to get the next beat cued up... rule of thumb for accapellas.... there should never go "beatless" when doing an accapella overlay for more than a measure... but I liked the concept.

I finally had the chance to listen to this.

Great cd, not to heavy, not to soft. The mixing is on point, and I liked the transition from breaks to dnb and back again. The best part for me is that the dnb didnt make the cd any "Harder sounding" than the rest of the cd. Very soulful with tons of vocals.

I also liked how you did the beat juggles with pictures.....definitely on point with that. From there on the mixing and track selection was just awesome. It has a very nice build and an excellent transition into the DnB.

Once again, very solid bro. I enjoyed very much and I dare say this mix will make my regular listening rotation.

edit: the one part i wasn't a fan of was the fatboy slim track and song after. the transitions in and out of rockefeller were kind of rocky and "back like that" isn't my style. but everything leading up to that was exactly the kind of thing i like to hear at the club or when i'm getting pumped up for a night out.

Ask Erica .. She came over and helped as I was practicing the new set for the next CD ... I love having at least one person to bounce Ideas off of and run shit through ..

Kim is always there for me to do that but I def like having a second opinion .. She may have helped me figure out a much better ending .. we shall see:meditate:

It is not Epic .. thats the last thing I want people thinking .. LOL .. :sadblue:

it is simply a change of pace for me , no mashups cheese or remixes , almost all the tunes have a dark WaReHoUsE rave vibe to em .. I Dont know .. erica agrees .. its not the vibe of my last 2 cds at all .. which may be a good thang ..

but to answer your question I finished the track listing yesterday with a little help from Kim and Erica .. I am bout to go poke a smoke and spin through it again timing it today .. Working out the kinks .. which means if all goes well I should be able to record a rough draft later today and should have a finished version by the end of the week .. But that is all contingent upon me mixing through the whole thing without any flubs .. Cause I def still do the "one take" recording style .. No re-edits or re-rubs ..

Seriously, Im excited to hear something different than the last two. I think a lot of people will get down to a darker mix. I would love to give my opinion as well.
