HELP!!!

I just broke out my decks after months of the "fuckits"...anyway, I've got them hooked up to an ancient cd/stereo with audio jacks only. It's giving me crazy feedback, and the sound is crazy tinny, like it's coming out of a can.

Any suggestions?

What kind of cartridge (pickup) is in the deck? Magnetic or ceramic?

Is the ground wire connected to something?

Do your decks have a pre-amp? (What kind of decks do you have)

(or the input connections could possibly be f---ed.)

(What kind of adapter are you using? [if any])

jiggle the handle. wait, thats for a leaky toilet. try using different inputs on your, well, whatever the inputs are on.i had a similar problem on a friends stereo, and i just changed where my mixer plugged into the stereo and whala, i needed a new mixer. FUCK...

Did you make sure to hook up the grounds?
