Queen Aishah

Queen Aishah was never a stranger to comedy being from a family of natural born comedians who always had jokes. Her family has been comedy for as long as she can remember starting with her maternal grandfather. This inspired the Queen to make others laugh she studied various comedians and styles until she finally mustered up the courage to hit the stage and try her own style. Her first appearance was at the famous Washington D.C. Nightclub, Mr. Henry's, where celebrity comedians like Martin Lawrence and Dave Chapelle first got some of their chops in. Queen Aishah the comedian was born.

After competing on local talent shows, she auditioned and made the cut for the world famous "Showtime at the Apollo" and went to New York for her first television appearance. After doing no more than open mics, Queen won three consecutive challenges and catapulted her comedy career. She has since appeared on BET's "Comic View" and VH-1 to name a few. In addition Verizon recently chose her to be their spokes person in print and media ads and ner new documentary, "Realize Ambition", is scheduled for release this August.

Her comedy talents have earned her opening spots for R and B crooners Jaheim, KC-I & Jo Jo, and Tank and the ability to work with comedy favorites Bruce Bruce, Rickey Smiley, Thea Vidale, Tony Roberts, Joe Clair, and Donnell Rawlings. Her charm knowing no bounds, Queen is also an on-air personality on XM Radio - "The City", and has her own prtion called "The Press Conference". Some of the guests that Queen commanded: the man Luther Vandross, Alicia Keys, John Legend, P. Diddy, Tyrese, Fat Joe, Ciara, Fantasia, Beanie Man, Monique and Faith Evans. In the midst of it all, this Queen never lost her head, focused on her spirituality and managing what she believes is her destined calling. When shes not touring, Queen divides her time between working out at local comedy clubs and giving back to the community whenever she can.

She, along with Fantasia of the American Idol fame were chosen to perform for the Radio One's 25th Anniversary Holiday Party and was one of the presenters and performers for the First Annual Go-Go Awards in Washington, DC. Too cool.

Tickets for all of these shows are $17
