View Full Version : Creating Mixes
Could you guys recommend a software that will allow me to create mixes? I know that is a loaded question judging from some of the previous threads that I have seen on here but basically what I need is software that'll allow me to beat match. Something basic will be fine since this will be for my own listening pleasure. Thank Fellas!! :raveon:

Acid would work... it'll beat match the song automatically and then you can change the tempo of the song by modifying its properties... as well as adjusting the main tempo to whatever you want.
I use this alot when working with longer samples i'm using in production...
I don't know how well it would work with the actual mixing or blending of the songs though... you could do do a fade into one and out of the other... but not sure how well it would sound

Mixmeister (http://www.mixmeister.com/) is probably the easiest to learn to use. Long before I had tables, I used Mixmeister to learn track layout and beat matching (back in the bad old days of audiogalaxy.com). It's a wonderful tool for trying to get creative with your mixing as you can easily try different overlay patterns in a very quick and easy way and find out what will and won't work.
I still use it to throw new digital downloads into a quick and dirty mix for track review at work and in my car. It can also be used like Traktor studio, if you have two sound cards in your laptop for live sets.
