so...as i browsed around i just so happened to come across this semi-hidden forum. i managed to find it again...so it wasn't really so hidden i guess...

i started looking through the threads and remembered our last visit home...just 2 weeks ago. there was a moment where my best bestest homegirl ever (Renee') and i were singing outside of the G-Man in Hbg, PA at the end of the night...loading up equipment etc...

someone said something and then we both broke out into song. now...the funniest part is once back in cali and during a phone conversation with her...she was like "that was such a chick moment!" i completely concurred! we have our moments...for example...we were both laid off from work at the same time while living together and watched the whole series of Dawson's Creek in a matter of month's on some tv channel that aired 2 episodes back to back at 9 & 10 am every monday through friday!

as i continued to browse through all of these threads, i realized that i am a total guy's girl. oh, i can be a girly girl...and i will, but i guess it just made me realize how "abnormal" i am. hell, i don't even bother to shop anymore. it could be because i hate traffic in san diego. it could be cuz i know i'll spend a ton of loot. either way, i am beginning to think that i need go out and do something extremely girly. i mean...Quincey and i got married in khaki shorts and wife beaters and in our bare feet. i never even bothered to do the wedding dress thing. boo hoo. you all are making me sad!

anyway...there is a point here:

i know that ravers are unique beings, so i can only assume that so many of you are actually a lot like myself and this is just an example of the little piece we hold onto at being really girly!!

i'd love to hear your stories...whether they are ones of individuality, being an outcast, getting all primped and sassy, fun with your best girl friends...anything!

much love to my bitches!! :cheerleader:

i went through a tomboy phase in my early raving days when I was bucking at the female DJ stereo type, but then as I grew up I got back into girly stuff.... and actually even more so than I ever was before.

now I am extremely girly. high heels everywhere.

that's what i am!!! a tomboy!!! i used to help my Dad restore old cars from age 7-12...it was fun...but i also have OCD, so when i'd get too dirty for me to handle, i would tell him that i was going inside to wash my hands and never come back out...until he yelled for me again, that is! that is how it always went. i think he just eventually got tired of it and gave up on me!

I'm pretty sure you're just a regular boy.

Unless your name is Tom.

But, Decoy Tom doesn't sound right.

This forum is like the VIP room, but for chicks, and way less exclusive.

And guys that girly moments.

And guys that enjoy posting with chicks.

And chicks that are tom boys.

And posts that just end up in the wrong forum.

But mostly for chicks.

i guess i have "tomboy" qualities, 'cause i like to dress comfortably most days. jeans and t-shirts, flip-flops or sneakers, very light make-up and wash and go hair. but my job is one where i can dress casually. i do like to dress up, heals, make-up, etc.... but only on special occasions. i did hang out with the boys when i was little and my dad took me hunting and fishing. all of my friends are eccentric in some way, and i guess i'm a little eccentric too, now mostly a hippie chick i guess. but my best-friend beth and i have those girlie moments too. we sing together sometimes, or just break out dancing in some random public place if we hear a good song, lol. i'm all chick when it comes to my personality and attitude, but i don't do heals and skirts on a daily basis.

i dont own any dresses or skirts...ive never had the desire to wear heels b/c im self conscious about my height...i dont like the idea of towering over ppl...if i were to put on a pair of heels now id probably fall on my face

ive kept my hair style short for the better part of my adult life b/c its easy to manage/keep up...its a quick blow dry in the morning with some pommade or hair wax...i tried the whole growing my hair out thing this past year...and made it to almost shoulder length and chopped it all off recently bc i couldnt deal with having to style it every day

i hate things like shopping and wearing makeup and wear as little as possible (maybe some concealer, mascara and light eye shadow...

if i could live the rest of my life in jeans a tank and some flip flops or sneakers id be happier than shit

i wouldnt consider myself a tomboy by any means however...i like being a girl and being "pretty"...i just want to put a minimal amount of effort and money into achieving "pretty" as possible

i think being a tomboy isn't necessarily how you dress or look, more so what free time activities you participate in and what your hobbies are...

i think women look their sexiest in business attire.
like.....a tight blouse with a black jacket, black medium skirt w/ hose and some heels.......:swoon:
or a black pantsuit.
pinstripes NEVER hurt either.

Hair up too........plz no ponytails.
you can be the sexiest woman in the entire world, but if you are wearing a ponytail, i'm not going to spooge while looking through your window with binoculars.

(i am not a chick....but still.....a friend of mine told me that i have a girlish figure. i'm not sure how to process that.)

There's nothing really wrong with them. A girl looks prettier with her hair down, but to say all pony tails look bad is silly.

I'm going to wear the biggest pony tail EVER tomorrow.

Which will be hard, since I cut all my hair off.

I am wearing very dark grey slacks, with turned up cuff's at the bottom, black heels, a black button down shirt with white pinstriples on it, and a balck halter vest over top of that.

I look super snazzy today.

The bottom line is, girl look good when they're put together nicely, for their type and style.

this is a true statement. although it's hot to get all dressed up (and ponytails aren't bad, imo) but a woman can look good no matter what she has on if she's put together nicely and knows how to accentuate her features and body type. accessories always help too  i can look just as good in jeans and a baby t or a skirt with heals (although i prefer the jeans and baby t b/c they are soooooo much more comfortable) :D

all girl nights are kind of fun to attend, but ive only been to a couple, so they might have been fun because they were a rare experience.
or maybe it was all of the estrogen witch makes an awesome aroma in the air.

now THAT sounds extra hawt!!

and the ponytail thing is just my opinion. i just don't like them at all really. i like it either down and flowing, or clipped up with one of those clippy things.
