Come party with District Ignition @ Glow/Ibiza this Saturday.

http://www.districtignition.com/c/di/img/ibiza_glow_saturdays_2007.07.21.jpg

What You Need To Do (the short version):

1. To sign up for the guest list, email glowlist@districtignition.com with your name and the names of any of your friends that you would like to hook up with free entry NO LATER THAN 8PM ON SATURDAY. FIRST AND LAST NAMES PLEASE! We will accept "plusses" but bear in mind that all of these folks must show up with you at the door, otherwise, they'll have to stand in the long line, and they'll have to pay full price.

2. Show up no later than 10:30PM to ensure you'll have enough time to find parking and walk your happy ass to the short line so that we can get you in for free (21+) or reduced (18+) prior to 11PM.

3. Do not wear shorts, flip flops, sports jerseys, hats, timberlands, white sneakers, overly baggy gear, etc. If you aren't in compliance with the dress code outlined below, odds are, you won't get in, and there is absolutely nothing we can do to help you.

What You Need to Do (the longish version):

When you arrive at the club, talk to the clipboard girl (her name is Kristin...say hi...) and tell her that you're on the District Ignition List. You'll get in for FREE (21+) or reduced (18+, $10 off for a total of $15) until 11PM. Kristin's a nice girl, but she is a bit of a guest list nazi, so make sure you're there on time if you want the full discount. After 11PM, you'll still get in for $5 off (taking it down to $15 for 21+, $20 for 18+), though, so not all is lost... Since we'll be working the lines outside, we'll be able to verify that you're on the list and hand you your free/reduced pass before you even get through security. So, even if you get in line a little on the late side and security is really slow, you won't get screwed at the door by making it to the ticket window at 11:05. Don't wanna wait in the line? Don't! The DI Guest List means you'll be able to skip straight to the "cuts" line that is always much, much shorter than the general admission line.

For now, this list is separate and distinct from our normal DI list that you may have signed up for to go to SNATCH or FUSION, so the best way to to get access is to email

glowlist@districtignition.com

You should receive a confirmation email back within a few hours of your submission to the list. If you don't, please hit me up via AIM (ramseyja13) or PM me here... We have had a few instances with some email providers marking districtignition.com email as spam, so you might have gotten the confirmation back sitting in your junk box... Check there and ensure that we are on your safe recipients list to avoid this issue in the future...

As ever, DI appreciates your support and patronage.

we were pretty emphatic last week about showing up early, but, as it turns out, our concerns over parking and lines outside turned out to be overestimated and, ultimately, there were far fewer "infrastructure" issues on Saturday than we expected. That said, the list still ends @ 11PM this week, so you'll definitely want to show up no later than 10:30 to have enough time to park and get yourself in line. FYI, the guest list line is on the sidewalk that runs on the south side of the building, next to Patterson, so that's where you'll want to head when you get there...

Thanks for finding the set, D... downloading it now...

FYI, Edgar V had to cancel tonight due to a severe case of bronchitis. Pete will be playing in his stead.

He he, I have to rate this night a 0 out of 10, but only by default as they didn't let me in because I was wearing athletic shoes (though they were not white athletic shoes) and because I was not wearing a dress shirt.

They were graceful about it, though, and, upon reflection, I guess I should have dressed up for it since it is a near-new place. Though, since it's down the street from the friggin' GREYHOUND station I don't see what dressing a tad down (I never leave the house without my Hanes T-shirt tucked in) is going to kill their client base aspiration.

However, I will definitely give the place another try; it seemed nice, well-organized, and well-staffed.

I'm not sure why you would have been turned away... dress shirt definitely isn't necessary but if your shoes looked cross trainer-y or basketball-y, that was probably the problem. Did you come in thru the guest list line? Sorry you didn't get in, though... that's kind of sucky... I didn't see you come thru myself, and I was outside until almost 1AM, so my best guess is that you were in the general admission line, where they tend to be a little more picky.

It was the line to the left of the entrance (as your are facing the front). Anyway, it was my bad; even really nice T-shirts still look like T-shirts :P

Hope the place rocked. I'll swing by to get my dance on sooner or later (probably sooner) :P
