Matti and I will be moving up to the NoVA area [Springfield to be exact] at the end of this month. I'm definitely wanting to get another gym membership once we get up there.
Soooo, for the folks around those parts, where do you go workout? Reasonably priced? Nice gym?
Horses and dancing aren't doing the trick to get rid of the mommy chub I want to lose. ..especially if I'll be getting back in front of the camera doing some on the side modeling again.

when I go to the gym, I go to Gold's.. but with it being summertime, I'm trying to do most of my workouts outside, and do some dumbell work at home.

I work out with my personal trainer, Fabio. After we exercise in spandex pance, he brushes my hair and we coo.
Also, I exercise in my apartment, and there's a gym in my building

After the baby comes and I get my umbilical hernia fixed, I have a personal trainer from my church that does not charged me and she works at a gym, that my husband will be hopefully working at...I can help you out there....

I go to Gold's Gym in Herndon. Either the one at the clocktower shopping center or the one on Elden. Personally i don't like there trainers as they are not with Gold's Gym but hired outside. But the gym itself is perfect.

Before I got a job with a company that has a gym in the building for employee use, I went through a few different gyms - Bally's, Gold's and Sport Fit.
Out of all of them, Gold's Gym was easily the best. Most reasonable prices for what you get, a separate area for women's circuit work since the meatheads tend to hover, broad range of equipment, my old one had a huge projection room so you could watch movies while on a treadmill or bike, sauna, good hours, etc. etc.
Best bet is to tour the gyms and see which one offers what you expect.

Ima be looking for a new gym in the near future myself. As much as I like working out at them, I hate how I can't tour one without them badgerring me to join immediately, like they are that desperate for ppl.

Gold's Gym seems to be the winner so far. It wont be until I get a job, that I can do anything.. but I wanna get back into shape.

Chad seems to really like his gym too, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it.
Washington Sports Club maybe? It's a chain all around the metro area...

There's one of those right down the street from where we'll be moving to, in Springfield. It's right next door to a restaurant I use to work at.

Seconded, i go to the fitness first in alexandria, and i couldn't be happier with it. after being a bally's member, i swore i would never go back there, and i won't, but fitness first is decent all around, fee wise, personal trainer wise, and equipment and upkeep wise

Local NYSC (same chain as WSC i guess down where most of you are) 5 minutes from my house. I hate it. There's a powerlifting/strongman gym about an hour from me but it's $10 a session and I can't make it there in time on workdays.
Eventually I'll just build a home gym. I hate commercial gyms.
But my neighborhood is fairly nice for biking, and about an hour drive to upstate NY gives me tons of open roads and great trails.
