About the space
The space is on top of Cafe Luna/Skewers in Dupont Circle. It is a really cool laid-back space with middle-eastern style layout. They do belly dancing there on Friday nights I think.

As with all Freeform DJ events, there is no dress code and no cover.

Everyone should check this out! It is a sweet little spot with a random mix of people off the street/other randoms and buzzboarders/party people. Throw in cheap ass (GOOD) drinks, 1/2 price app's that rock and tunes that are all over the place and you have the best new weekly in a long-ass time!

I've been waiting for something like this. I remember asking around for a downtempo night and everyone was more or less saying it's none-existant.

Lucky for me my lounge @ the hotel (Topaz Bar) plays downtempo. It's not live dj's though.

Anyway, I'm glad to be onboard with this one & look to expanding it to something that fills up just right.

In the meantime, check out my latest downtempo mix, Cloudbreak to get a feel of what I may or may not drop.

I'm very excited about this lineup. These are all seasoned DJs that are playing outside their "niche" genre. Maybe I look into it too much, but I feel like when DJs do this they bring something from the outside to the tables, which is always interesting.
