Last week I got this set of lipglosses from Stila, a Hard Candy eyeshadow palette, and I got a new black glittery eyepencil, also by Hard Candy. I think I might have gotten something else too, but I forget right now.

Dear god I have a soft spot for those Hard Candy palettes. I've never actually bought one, which is the funny thing. I just look at them, and then get other things. They remind me of high school when I first saw one that my friend had and asked her about it; I was shocked at the idea of spending $30 on eyeshadow. LOL.

We saved about $100 total by booking out six honeymoon flights through Orbitz, but found out that it would have been worth it to book directly with the airlines. The airlines give bookings through these services the lowest priority and a bunch of shit was screwed up regarding seating location, isle/window choices, carriers, and they even tried to separate my wife and I and put us in different sections of the jets on every flight. Fortunetly, I made a friend at the American Airlines counter and she fixed all of them as best she could, but it took a long time, and I'm really lucky to have met her.

If you're flying alone and don't care about your carrier or seat, then disregard what I just said. For vacations - I'm booking directly in the future.

(BTW hotel booking sites work the same way - priority goes to the direct customers)

yeah you know, you mentioned that but i've never had that same experience booking through orbitz or travelocity. we booked through orbitz for the trip to ireland and sat together with no issues, and i regularly book through travelocity for work and get whatever seats i go with.

i'm not really sure where the discrepancy is here but i've never run into this issue at all :shrug:

definitely a shitty thing to have had to deal with on your honeymoon though, that's for sure.

yeah the week i spent there in august was great. i was across the street from millenium park and just loved that downtown area.

gotta take amanda there for a long weekend or something in the vague near future (though probably not till after the wedding i guess).

I love Chicago. My older brother was stationed just outside of there for Naval training and I went to visit him. The shopping is amazing and we happened to catch a Cubs the one afternoon. It was a great trip.
