You can bring any type of beer or liquor for open bar. You can not bring mixers. You must purchase mixers at the bar.

I will have the set times done by Monday. All djs must be there by 10:30 even if they are given a later slot. If djs aren't there by 11pm, they will lose their time slot. The first dj will go on at 10 and it would be nice if people got there early to support everyone.

It was a great time judging with Miguel, George, Dion, and Tova. We had a blast listening to all the sets. It was a really tight competition between everyone and we were quite torn on who deserved what. It's safe to say that ALL of the sets were unique and fun in their own ways and there's several dj's who walked away from the competition last night with offers to play other gigs.

To the dj's I spoke with, you will be hearing from me soon with a follow-up. And once again congratulations to the weiners.... especially that bastard named Heider. Mr. Kirk's Nightmare like whoa.

I had an incredible time last night.

Congratulations to Elation for winning first place in the dj competition. He won a gift certificate to Guitar Center, a gold record, guestlist to Rush and all events at 1722 for a year, and a closing set at an upcoming Rush. His breaks set was tight with excellent flow and skill.

Congratulations to Motaki for winning second place. He did such an amazing job we want to have him back at Rush for a gig. His set was unique and inspiring.

Congratulations to Heider for winning third place. His song selection even had the judges cheering and dancing.

Thank you to all of the djs who participated in the dj competition. Each dj put together a very unique, thoughtful, and energetic set. Many of the djs will have upcoming gigs at multiple venues in the Baltimore/DC area as a result of their excellent performances.

Thanks to Dj Nysus, Miguel Lush, 2-Rip, and George for judging the competition. All of the judges were very attentive and fair. The four categories were technical skill, song selection, flow, and crowd response.

Thank you to the staff at 1722 for working so hard last night to accommodate the crowd and 10 djs.... The owner said to me "where are the afterhours people gonna fit..." HA!!

Thanks again to all of the djs, guests, supporters, and staff who made last night one of the best Rush's ever. Can't wait until our next dj competition!
