Saturday Feb 24 2007 Candy 4 Kids - Wellsville Oh,

This event is being brought to you by Phoenix Management and a collaborative effort from the entire Pittsburgh region. All of the proceeds will be going to a Pittsburgh area school for children with disabilities. The money will be used to equip a sensory room which provides stimulation and or relaxation for children as there special needs require. Basically we're gonna fill it with raver toys. Everyone involved with this project has donated their time and skills for this great cause. So come do your part to help out and lets take this opportunity to give back a little to a society that misunderstands why we do what we do.......... For the love of it!

It's a ravetastic weekend if anyone wants to join me for a road trip. I'm spinning at Envy in WVU the night before. Not sure who else is headlining it but they just had George Acosta over the weekend.

Then the next night it's CANDY 4 KIDS. If you read above you'll see that it's a benefit for children with autism. When Jud asked me to come back & play I couldn't possibly say no considering the cause it's for.

So I definitely want to make sure people come out & help get these donations going.

I went on a tour of a place that catered to special needs people not too long ago and got to see a sensory room.
It's a room where they put the people to chill basically.
The room I saw was full of all sorts of lights and a t.v., bean bag chairs.
It was a "chill room," like one would find at a party.

so it will be a 6.5 hour ride with a stop in breezewood to go to sheetz, and get a half gallon of chocolate milk, a cup of coffee, and a bacon turkey pretzel melt.

Yeah my ride bailed on me yesterday so looks like my ass is driving up in my whip. I really hate driving long trips! So looks like its me a shit load of music a radar detector and some red bull....lol...

i was fortunate to carpool for the last portion of the trip, and slept from pittsburgh to ohio.
when i woke up i could hear bass, and stepped from the 105 degree car to the 5 degree weather.
i wasnt quite awake yet, but i knew i should be walking, and i knew it should be in the direction of the bass.

when i got to the building it was the other side, and i saw lights shooting across the fogged windows of a gymnasium, and a fast basseline that i havnt moved to since i was 18.

my first thoughts were. "is this a nightmare?"

i approached some guy outside the buuilding and stated "this doesnt sound like happy hardcore" hoping he would point me inside to findout for myself.

his response was "yeah i know, im calling my friend to find out how to get inside"

i thought "shit" and walked 50 feet to the left and gained entry.

there were mad people from pittsburgh that i wanted to meet, but didnt see any of.
and for the first half hour i kept that nightmare feeling i had when i woke up(it was kinda like a wake and bake, but with rave instead of bake).

between club envy in WV, and candy for kids i got the feeling that this new generation has a few things to learn still

primarily

-dont give lightshows
if you do, use something safe, not a blender
if you have to use a blender to give a lightshow, dont point it at the hair of an unsuspecting female.

-and, if your too fucked up to walk, dont try to dance.

-other than that, im glad that we have a new generation, it was too good to hand down to no-one.
-im happy that happy hardcore girls havnt had enough experiance with the real world to realize that wearing little to no clothing can be dangerous(thank god it wasnt that night)
-and im happy that complete strangers can unite for the sake of a comon good, and 3 day roadtrip from hell.

PS: if matt mentions the towel, and washcloth i left at his house, tell him he can throw them away or keep them.
theres no way their worth a trip back to WV.
