SPIN OUT RECORDS

Swain & Paris ‘COME AS ONE’

Spin Out Records launches its musical programme in 2007 with this stormer of a release from Swain & Paris; ‘Come As One’. Coming off the back of a hugely successful 2006 which saw releases on Audiotherapy, Global Underground and of course Spin Out, Swain & Paris get this year off and running in style. Featuring haunting vocals, twisted melodies and a satisfying, descending bassline this is a track that will appeal to a wide range of dancefloors and DJs. The package is simply huge with remixes from german minimal maestro Chopstick, tough, bass-driven electro-house from Si McEvoy and of course the breaks from Vandal. All in all a great way to kick off the New Year!

The release features two versions of the original plus three stonking remixes:

• The dub and half vocal feature the melody strongly throughout the track, with vocal snippets laced throughout the tracks. This is definitely one for the ‘feel-good’ dancefloor, bringing in elements of all types of house. The chorus rides the interlocking melodies and harmonies brilliantly, giving an all round effect of satisfaction and a feeling that all is right with the world!
• Next is German tech-house artist Chopstick, making his debut on Spin Out. His remix takes the track in a totally different direction, turning it into a deeper, minimal number with an acid bassline and bleepy stabs. The warm, analogue bass drives the track along neatly until it is interrupted by the vocal and a haunting synth line which changes the key of the track altogether. Peak time tech-house at its finest.
• Remix number two is by Spin Out’s own Si McEvoy, with his second remix for the label. Taking the original verse from the vocal Si adds his own power-bassline which is simply huge and is guaranteed to take the roof clean off the club. With electro stabs and a great big breakdown this is for the DJ that likes it filthy.
• The final piece of the puzzle comes from Spin Out fave Vandal with yet another storming breaks re-rub. Using the bassline from the original, he adds snippets of vocal, cuts of the original synth melodies and adds a belting break. Quite simply, if you like breaks, you will love this!
