TITTSWORTH
As a producer, all vinyl copies of Tittsworth's debut release were spoken for in a little under the first two months. He has released 4 records in a little over a years time and support has stretched from NYC to London, gaining high praise from Fader Magazine, XLR8R, The Wire and countless forms of esteemed press. Other releases include a CD on Money Studies (Turntable Lab's premiere label, featuring the likes of Diplo, Spankrock, etc.), an original album forthcoming on Plant Music (Dom and Stetch Armstrong's label), a record on Ammo Recording (A-trak's imprint) and regular releases on T&A Records (a Tittsworth and Ayres partnership w/ int'l distro via TTL). From sponsorship attaining local crazes to regular productions endorsed by Diplo, XXXplosive, Fabric DJ's and more, Tittsworth's long list of consistent hits continue to gain club and radio notoriety. Current collabs include Z-Trip, Pase Rock, Kid Sister, Kenny B and Diamond K.

From a performance aspect, Titts has dominated decks at a plate-a-minute's pace while also innovating a gritty, high energy approach to club music. He has grossly exceeded promoter expectations from Malmö, Sweden to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He continues to top a diverse array of bookings, ranging from industry heavy-weights like The Rub and Sway (Oxycottontail), but also proudly and successfully breaks new club ground with regular appearances in places like Toronto and Richmond. Titts has been synonymous with top-shelf DJing, while seamlessly spanning hip-hop, club, Miami Bass, ghettotech, house and beyond. His "success is the culmination of his numerous appearances on DJ top 10 lists and playlists, as well as critical praise for his releases... so, keep a look out" (The Wire)

"Still recovering from the great time we had at The Rumble here in Malmö last night, Tittsworth killed it but we already knew that from the mix he gave us, could very well be one of the best sets I’ve ever heard. All you dj’s out there may need to step your game up."

-Swedish Blog site, Discobelle.net

"The second wave of superstars includes DJ K-Swift, Spank Rock and turntable partners Dave Nada and DJ Tittsworth... What can attendees expect at the Nada/Tittsworth soiree? A lot of sweating, fist pumping and curse words... a lot of curse words."

-"Up from the Gutter" - Philly Weekly

"This new up and coming star of the scene has put out two vinyl EPs the last few months that have absolutely destroyed the dance music scene and cemented his status as someone to watch. This success is the culmination of his numerous appearances on DJ top 10 lists and playlists, as well as critical praise for his two EP releases...
So, keep a look out"

Deep Dish and sound engineer Matt Nordstrom produced “George Is On” in the duo’s Washington, D.C. studio. The album has hit dance and pop charts hard, earning respect in clubs and on the streets. “It’s a classic example of something danceable, but rocky and poppy at the same time,” says Dubfire. “We try to find that perfect balance.”

Deep Dish flew to Los Angeles to record and produce the track with Stevie Nicks at The Village, a state-of-the-art Mac recording facility. There, Dubfire, Tayebi, and Nordstrom sat with Nicks and composed the final album version of “Dreams.” “We had our laptops and we threw everything into a Logic session,” says Dubfire.

“We were doing edits while sitting in the studio,” says Nordstrom. “We brought out a bunch of group stems — drums, bass, synths, and guitars — so we could mute and un-mute tracks and adjust levels right there with Stevie.”

Using the same portable studio setup, the group was also able to produce music for four Versace fashion shows on location in just a few days. “For one particular show, I was working around the clock in the hotel room, putting stuff together on my laptop, for two days,” says Dubfire. “I didn’t have to go into a big studio to do it. The laptops are a studio, office, and entertainment center all in one.”

Thomas Blondet (aka Tom B) is a Washington DC DJ regarded highly for his impeccable taste and understanding of music. Revered locally and nationally as much for his technical ability as he is for his experience behind the decks, Tom B has for the past 15 years held residencies in several influential DC dance clubs, notably the legendary Club Red. He is currently at the Eighteenth Street Lounge and Club Five on Fridays and Saturdays respectively. Starting at age 14, inspired by the early sounds of Mr Fingers and Masters At Work, Tom developed an informed musical palette. He went on to the natural progression of music production after solidifying his roots on dance floors along the East Coast. In the studio, Tom's House and Latin music influences come to the forefront with releases on Odds and Ends and Rhythm & Culture Recordings, to name a few. With remix credits for such artists as Vivian Green on Sony Music and Marlon D on Jellybean Recordings, Tom B is concentrating on building and expanding his catalogue and pursuing his passion for deejaying. With more tracks ready for release in addition to critical acclaim, Thomas Blondet has truly come into his own.

WASHINGTONPOST.COM NIGHTLIFE AGENDA:

Saturday, Dec. 23
Looking back on 2006, Jesse Tittsworth has been one of our favorite DJs, thanks to his crowd-pleasing, floor-filling Baltimore club and booty bass remixes as well as his deft turntable skills. He's headlining tonight's Pho Real Xmas (http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/?node=cityguide/profile&id=1133671&venueid=800604) party at Five (http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?node=cityguide/profile&id=800604&categories=Bar%20&%20Club%20Events), which features a hot lineup of house, breaks, electro, B'more and dubstep on a night that's usually reserved for house in all its myriad forms. (And you can get your picture taken with Santa! Seriously!) Tittsworth is joined in the main room by Tom B of Eighteenth Street Lounge, Bobby Jae, Mat Nordstrom and Ken Lazee, while Signal and Ricky Ricardo spin dubstep -- the latest garage/grime hybrid to come out of London -- on the tented-and-heated rooftop deck. Admission to the dress-code-free evening is $10, though they'll knock off a few bucks if you bring a few cans of food for the homeless. More info can be found at Upfrontdc.com.
