I'm not taking sides here at all, but in Ian's defense, he talked to me privately and expressed how he thought I deserved this opportunity more than anyone, since, a) I have never played a Buzzlife event, and b) he also happens to appreciate my skills as a DJ.
So he offered to help me campaign, and I let him.
It's not a question of fair and square, considering that I was having all my other friends do the same thing for me.

this year we went to field of screams. a group of black 20 somethings jumped the line and got in front of us. i tried to stop them and they got all in my face

i got in theirs and they advanced as if they were going to kick my ass. i got security, who they screamed and yelled at. then they threatened to gat down aubrey. they called me a white bitch and said i only tried to get them thrown out of line because they were black.

I strongly encourage everyone to get to Electric Avenue as early as possible. Enjoy our outstanding opening DJ's and get the most drink for your dollar with the 2 hour open bar.

Plan with your friends now to coordinate arriving at the club early. Most people tend to arrive at clubs all around the same time which contributes to lines.

Why wait in line outside when you can be inside :breakdance: and :chug: for free!

99% of the time I'd agree with you... but with only 1 hour sluts and a tight schedule to maintain, it was really important for me to have a set prepared that flowed right given the time constraints and finished in time for the next guy to start dropping... I'm happy to report that Rami started mixing into his first track at exactly 1AM... :thumbsup:

there was one particular track you played fairly early on into your set that i remember thinking "man this track is the jam!"

but alas i was pretty buzzed by then and dont remember anything about it except that it made my but wiggle and my head bob.

by the way i also own track 12: Smack my boot up. is the track on side B "you got the boot"? if so i believe its "Re-arranged" and the lable is "insider traders" or vice versa.

usually I get it pretty close... but then I also play a lot of shit that's easy to be in and out of in three to four minutes... but if I preprogrammed a set it would just lack soul for me...

I have never been a quitter. To leave the Buzzlife NYE contest before it is completed is abhorrent to every instinct in my body. But as a DJ, I must put the interest of teh rave first. DC needs a full-time DJ and a full-time rave, particularly at this time with problems we face at home and abroad.

To continue to fight through the week ahead for my personal vindication would almost totally absorb the time and attention of both the rave and the ravers in a period when our entire focus should be on the great issues of peace abroad and prosperity without inflation on a messageboard.

Therefore, I shall resign the contest effective at noon tomorrow.
