View Full Version : 11.01.06 | OmniPresent Leaving Gallery! | Final Party 10.28

Due to circumstances beyond our control and differences in opinion on certain key factors -
OMNIPRESENT SYNDICATE HAS DECIDED TO STOP HOLDING GALLERY SESSIONS AT GALLERY RESTAURANT LOUNGE.
10.28.06 WILL BE OUR FINAL GALLERY SESSIONS PARTY - (ECB 10 Year Anniv.)
This might come as a surprise to some of you, Saturday nights over the past 4 or 5 months have been very successful, but more importantly they have been a hell of a lot of fun for everyone involved, especially us.
Unfortunately we do not feel as though it is possible to continue to provide you with the quality parties that you deserve under the current conditions, and we have made the decision to stop doing Saturdays at Gallery.
Vu, myself, Shane, and everyone else from the OmniPresent family involved with making Saturday nights happen would like to thank everyone for their support. Without you guys, we wouldn't have had the chance to do so much over the past few months. We certainly had plans to continue to develop the night at Gallery, however we just don't feel as though we have the necessary conditions there to continue without sacrificing our overall mission: to provide good people in the DC area with the very best in dance music at the very best venues the city has to offer.
This does not mean that OmniPresent will stop doing events in the DC area, in fact good part of our decision was influenced by the plans that we have for the coming months in DC. Doing a weekly party as many of you know is extremely draining, and does not allow for organizing events outside of the weekly schedule. Now that we have the opportunity to diversify our parties, we feel as though we will be able to continue to provide the DC area with the very best in nightlife entertainment.
As a sign of what's to come from OmniPresent Syndicate, I am happy to announce a VERY SPECIAL THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION:

Sounds like Montgomery County just isn't the place for parties since PreFix is moving out as well. Hopefully you find a good spot to move to.

Unfortunately Gallery hasn't had the business to survive on the other nights of the week. Saturdays have been better than we could have hoped for, but it just doesn't seem like the place is going to make it without a decent amount of restaurant business.
We had a blast while it lasted and were able to bring in talent that I have always dreamed of working with.... so I have no regrets - I have always trusted my gut feeling, and when I sense that its time to move on I do it - no need to wait for the shit to hit the fan.
I wish Gallery the best of luck and a BIG THANKS again to all those that made Saturdays there so much fun. It's the people that make the party - period.
Keep your eyes and ears out for big things coming soon from OmniPresent!

you got a point there rami, but gallery sessions never lacked a crowd, the place was constantly packed. it sounds like a management issue, maybe lack of crowds on other nights. who knows, but i dont necessarily think it had to do with location and lack of support. countless heads would travel up from va dc every saturday to hear the best house music in the area.
on a lighter note.... THE GATHRING IS GOING TO PWN THE FUCK OUTTA LOVE
