On Friday, October 20, 2006, at the 5 Seasons night club, Punk-Hop-N-B Difrint will be hosting the B’More Flava: Hip Hop Showcase SURVIVOR Edition, an event that will unite the unsigned stars of Rap, Song, and Spoken Word, with the viable college community of Baltimore and Washington DC. This event will allow aspiring and unsigned artist in the Baltimore area the opportunity to be heard by a huge college audience, and network with local industry heavy weights.

You are guaranteed exposure amongst your peers, as well an opportunity to win prizes that could help further your career in your respective genre.
What is unique about the Survivor show?
The Suvivor edition is unique because the performance slots are undetermined. The opening act picks the first performers randomly out of a pimp cup, and each performer there after does the same after their sets.
As the winner of the event:
You will receive the ultimate prize package that covers the essentials to creating a buzz in the local and national industry.
The winner will receive:
An exclusive custom made track from MsTris Beats, CITY PAPER voted, Baltimore’s best beat maker.
A three hour studio package from Rawtech Productions, one of the premier recording and engineering facilities in Baltimore.

How will this event be judged?
The B’More Flava: Hip Hop Showcase SURVIVOR edition will be judged by some of Baltimore’s top music industry personalities in terms of talent; a natural, special and often creative or artistic aptitude, creativity; having the quality of something unique not imitated, and charisma; a special, magnetic charm or appeal. Audience participation is also a factor, so be sure to bring your friends and family. Each contestant will have 4 to 5 minutes to perform (Note anything over 5 minutes is subject to penalties against the performer). Each contestant will be ranked on a scale of 1 to 10 in each of the three categories, with audience participation counting as additional bonus points. The artist with the most points wins. The top 3 contestants will also receive a trophy/certificate, and in the event of a tie, the audience will choose. Once again, bring a friend.
The top 2 ranking contestants will receive an invite to perform at the B’More Flava: Hip Hop Showcase The Red Carpet edition in November, however the entry fee for the event will be required.
Is there an entry fee?
There is a non refundable entry fee of $25.00 that must be paid in full before your spot in the showcase is secured. The entry fee covers the admission of up to 4 performers. These performers must be on stage or they will be asked to leave the show. Any group including more than 4 performers must pay $10.00 for each additional person. In order to promote variety, there will be a limit placed on the amount of rappers, singers, poets, etc. allowed to compete. First come, first serve of course.
*General admission to this event for spectators will be $10.00, to be paid upon entry of the club.
What should I remember to not lose my place in the competition or forfeit my prize?
All CDs MUST be labeled with artist name and track number to be played. Please know what songs you will be performing prior to submitting CD.
Performers MUST be at the 5 Seasons by 8:30. Professionalism is a key to longevity in the music business.
As the winner you have a time period not to exceed two weeks to make arrangements with producers for tracks and studio time before your prize becomes null and void.
Any performers that misuse the microphones will be automatically disqualified from the competition and is responsible for any damages done. Equipment contracts will be provided.
How do I make payment to secure my spot in the hottest talent showcase in the city?
