1115 East-West Highway, SS, MD 20910,US - Free, pre 11pm, $10 before 12, and $15 after.
Final 88 degrees party. If you don't know what that is, you've missed out all summer...don't miss this one! Visual Artists: 4Traits: 5 - 8pm Traditionally, portrait art has been an intimate process a work of art created by one artist working with one subject. 4Traits are an entirely new concept. A team of artists working together on a group of portraits. In an assembly line fashion, every artist adding to every portrait publicly, simultaneously improvising as they go, like a jazz quartet. Blackmoth aka Kari Altmann: 7 - 10pm A digital multimedia artist from Texas, currently attending MICA in Baltimore as a video major. Her work has been featured in places like Beautiful Decay, Ruby Mag, AMODA in Austin, and various websites. Video and animation are her newest arenas to experiment with and this is one of her first and freshest vj gigs. Blackmoth is known for her use of color, her experimental nature, and her ability to connect to people via imagery. A big fan of anything innovative, charming, or simply emotionally honest, her works are always a tricky mix of personal, surreal, or ambiguous messages. blackmoth.org // blackmothstudios.com // myspace.com/blackmoth More to come! Music: Not one, or two, but Five Live PA acts from New York. Then Joe Nice will grace us with Dubstep from 12 - 2:30am in 88 Alley.

We've mentioned Gallery in this column a few times in recent months -- and Fritz just reviewed the club in the Weekend section last Friday -- but the user-friendly Silver Spring nightspot is continuing to assemble some of the coolest DJ lineups around, perfect for dancing until 4 a.m., indoors and out. This weekend's set is one of the fiercest yet: Roy Davis Jr., one of the founding fathers of Chicago house, brings his smooth, soulful, funky beats to the dance floor to face off against the roughed-up, pulsing electro and house of Junior Sanchez, who's known for remixing the likes of Bloc Party, the Bravery, Gorillaz and Madonna. Out in the back alley, you've got the jumped-up two-step sound of Joe Nice. The whole afternoon kicks off at 4 p.m. with the 88 Degrees team's terrace party: As DJs Ezekiel Honig, Morgan Packard, Nicholas Sauser, Ben Parris and Mistake spin on the restaurant's large patio, artists work on the club's graffiti wall, paint portraits (assembly-line style, no less) and show off video projects. It all sounds like an incredibly cool way to spend 12 hours, doesn't it? Women enter free before midnight and can abuse the open bar from 10 to 11, while guys pay nothing until 11, $10 from 11 to midnight and $15 after that.

Oh yeah... btw - in case you didn't hear, just confirmed TODD TERRY for Sept. 30th! If you don't know, you betta axe somebody.
