ROBBIE HARDKISS (Classic Music, Austin)
In the Early 90's, Robbie Hardkiss and his "brothers" Scott and Gavin, helped pioneer the American electronic music scene with their ground breaking record label Hardkiss Music. They quickly joined the ranks of the domestic DJ elite, and in 1995 reached legendary status with the release of their classic album, "Delusions of Grandeur." The success of his original material has lead to remixing projects for a diverse group of heavy hitting artists, including Elton John, Duke Ellington, Lords of Acid, Detroit Grand Pubahs and Q-Burns Abstract Message. In addition to his critically praised production work, Robbie has become an internationally respected DJ, playing his signature funked-up house sound regularly throughout North America and as far away as the UK, Europe, South Africa, and Hong Kong. His debut 12" release on Classic Music, "Everything is Changing", has been dubbed a "classic" by Mixmag; while DJ Magazine proclaimed, "If Bootsy finally dragged Prince onto the Mothership and they went for a jam with the Venusians, they'd probably come up with something like this."
