The Groove Allegiance make a welcome return after the success of ‘Roland’s Revenge’ released in January this year to much critical acclaim. Diving straight back into the mixer with new single ‘The Moonfrog Jive’, making it obvious they’re gonna continue spreading the funkalicious groove disease worldwide. Full of slap bass, 80’s disco funk vibes, old school electro synth hooks and jackin beats done up as tight as you like, this ditty is moving many hot summers’ sweaty bums at the moment.
And if that’s not got you wetting your beaks, on the flip of this record Circuit Breaker turns in a remix of Groove Allegiance’s b-boy bleep fest ‘A Good Day For Shirkin’ – and he’s delivered the goods big time, pacing up the original, adding stomping ass beats, vocoderred vocals and keeping all the loony lfo wab’s and warbs from the original, this one builds & builds in all the right directions.
Already finding favour with all the usual suspects - Plump DJ’s, Icey, Drumattic Twins, Braund Reynolds, Superstyle Deluxe. It’s also receiving support on Radio 1 (Annie Nightingale), Kiss FM (Graham Gold), iDJ Mag (5/5 - recommended single July issue), DJ Mag (4/5 July issue).
