Tonight is a long awaited AIDs marathon benefit party hosted by the guys at Tsunami Tsundays. With just under 2 months to raise as much money as we can for The Race for the Cure, we bring you two local house dj's that'll set the night off with some bangin' house tracks all night long.

All proceeds will be donated to the AIDS marathon

This is DC’s hottest way to close out a weekend. Sango Sho offers a delicious selection of Japanese cuisine and drink that earned it an *editors choice* in the Washington Post. So come down; enjoy the vibe, the beats, the great food; and the aquarium-like atmosphere. We look forward to seeing YOU there!!!

I cannot go. I have to load up a van full of shit to do some off-site vending. And we need to get up at nearly 6AM if not earlier to get shit ready to drive to Merriweather Post Pavilion in morning rush-hour traffic so we can get there by load-in time which is some ungodly thing like 9AM for a festival that starts at 12 o'clock noon.

Sooooo...got a question. How are proceeds going to benefit Race for the Cure, if there is no cover charge?
Is Japone donating the profit from food & beverages sold that night?

Whatever profit is made off the bar for food and drinks gets donated. last night we made about $100 ... not good, not bad, but a decent start?

We'll be hosting AIDs benefit parties at japone well into late august, as august 25th is the cutoff date to raise money.

on a side note, thanks to everyone that came out and had a good time :)
